who was the greatest of the rat pack

i guess we can discount joey bishop and peter lawford

so you have a choice of got Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davies jnr and Humphrey Bogart

for me its definetely

1. Dean Martin (just my personal fave)
2. Sammy Davies jnr (what a star)
3. Frank Sinatra (really did do it his way)
4. Humphrey Bogart (a short ugly guy but still cool)

i think the reason i like these guys is because they all looked like they were having so much fun!!

Stars today are to damn serious and worried about there image whatever

or maybe i just wanna hang out with my buddies more often and get drunk and shag lots more women??

i remember seeing a tribute to sammy davies jnr must have been a few months before he died, gregory hines was tap dancing on stage right in front of sammy and called him up on stage, Sammy was looking real frail and old and he sorta limped up on stage all bent over.

Soon as he made it to the stage the music came on he seemed to grow about a foot taller and 10 yrs younger, did a dance off with gregory hines great theater great talent!

biggrin

I do remember seeing him in movies and such, he did appear to be charming in them.

Although they all drank heavily, Dean Martin went a bit overboard, and I lost my interest. sad

Dean Martin was the coolest dude ever.

He could sing, act and was a scratch golfer. He and Jerry Lewis were the highest paid entertainers ever for their day.

When Lewis split, he sunk, but Dean-o kept right on sailing along on the top of the wave.

I let my 9-year-old son watch Dean Martin movies whenever I want him to see what "cool" is really all about.
