My friend has free tickets to the new movie.. i am not a fan of the series. But i was like eh free movie & free popcorn! and in L.A both of those can be hard to come by these day's

this movie has to be the best comedy of 2012, it's so silly, messy & the actors are porno status. In fact this is like watching a high budget porno, you got boobs, babes, staches, muscled men, sweat & grunts.

Idk what number this is 5, 6? either way this thing is hilarious.

How well do these thing's even follow the games?

, honestly if you are fans of the series you will probably like it. The movies are messy & silly.. but there popcorn flicks. I know i'm not going in there to watch a spike lee or stanley kubrick production

Those movies don't follow the games story lines @ all really . Which is why I absolutely hate those movies . If it followed the stories from the actual video game series, it would be a pretty nice series to watch [depending on who's writing, directing, & starring in them ]

Exactly. I'm a big fan of the games, and that's why I HATE the movies with a passion. Paul W.S. Anderson should go to prison for this blasphemy. He only made one good movie in his life, and that was "Event Horizon". Everything else he did is a piece of shit.

I totally agree! I loved the RE video game series [except part 5 ], & these films don't follow shit! I wish George A. Romero would have done this series instead. He wrote a script for part 1 & was suppose to direct it [he used the original storyline, characters, setting etc.], but for some reason, it didn't happen.

I've also heard that this films storyline has something to do Scientology too, or something like that.

Yes, RE5 was soulless. But I love RE:Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS.

Well, as much as I respect Mr. Romero I think that he has lost his mojo just like George Lucas. I wish producer Bernd Eichinger (RIP) would've chosen someone younger and with more talent than Paul W.S. Anderson. Maybe Christophe Gans, who was responsible for the imho very good first Silent Hill movie.

I haven't played that one yet. I don't have a 3DS.

Maybe so with Romero [his version would have been made in the late 90's if I'm not mistaken. He did direct the RE2 video game commercial that released in Japan only, I think ]. But I am for certain they changed stuff in the First "Silent Hill" movie too. I have the original game. But I will admit it was a pretty decent adaption....especially for a video game movie.

I haven't played that one yet. I don't have a 3DS.

That game alone is worth getting a 3DS. It's that good, a real return to form after the dissapointing fifth game. And of course there are other wonderful games for the handheld as well.

hmm, ok, but you gotta realize that Resident Evil was (is) basically a japanese videogame action/horror franchise (that means the games are nasty/wacko, unpredictable and, well, delightful), and the movies are just watered-down Hollywood versions, without the elements that made the games great to begin with...

Saw it today and i took my daughter .. we both said it has a feel for a sequel at the end of the movie...even my daughter cuaght on where they was in the test area.... but we are still fans .. Milla was great in it IMHO...

and thanks for the advice, I tried to watch part 1 (2002 if I'm not mistaken) but only in FF mode lol, I quit watching part 2 after the first 40 minutes, saw some youtube parts of part 3 and I got bored; no, I'm not gonna watch this new entry...

Saw the trailer for this before Dredd. The use of 3D is just incredibly awful. It's so exaggerated it looks like a pop-up book.
