The Org's Dewrede

Your family & friends have my condolences.

So gutted to have heard this today and to be honest, I still can't quite believe it.

I knew Chris pretty well.

I never met him in person but spoke to him regularly online for the past couple of years, way into the wee hours. We'd piss ourselves laughing and generally shoot the shit about anything and everything. We disagreed on a lot but he would always stick to his principles and you knew where you stood with him. If we disagreed, it was fair enough and we never jumped out of our prams over anything.

He'd have a go at me for eating meat, I'd tell him to shut up and grab a bacon sarnie. We were all good and would carry on and laugh our guts out about something. We both kept some strange hours and a lot of nights, if I couldn't sleep, I'd chat with him online.

I last spoke to him on Thursday night. I knew he'd been ill but really, I wasn't expecting this. We were laughing and joking about how all this might be sorted.

I'm so sorry for his family, friends and his girlfriend.

From a Fonky to a Phonky, rest easy mate. I'll miss ya.

And BTW "Dewrede", I don't care if Forever in my life was mimed on the SOTT film. You'll never convince me it don't sound good to ya.

i am extremely shocked. he was so young.

his presence was a very welcome one and his voice was one of great intellect and insight.

Hugs to his family and org friends. Thank you for letting us know and thanks to zombie for allowing us to put a face to an org presence. He was an enthusiastic fan always ready to help you hear something that you needed to hear. I'm spinning "Dewie's Faves" for the rest of the night.

I came to read more of the posts/condolences at work during my lunch hour. It grew from just one page to almost 3. After reading the rests of the posts I was all teared up and had to keep my composure

It has had quite the impact among our org family. Unexpected, sudden, shock, sadness, reflection.

OMG I loved that poster... his posts were so kick ass... he will be deeply missed

Shocking news, particularly since he was posting until so recently. I strongly opposed his stance on certain political issues, but it does sound like on a personal level he was a good guy and a good friend. Sad that he passed away so young and so suddenly. My sympathies to his loved ones. RIP
