I wanted to tell you that Dewrede has passed away. He was 37 years old, and died of a pulmonary embolism. I loved him and it is out of honor to him that I am writing this. He spent a lot of time here and had many good friends, and this is the only way I could think of to let you know.

Christan, I will always love you and keep you in my heart. I wanted to post "How Can I Tell You?" by Cat Stevens, but as usual I cannot figure out how to do it. Anyway, keep his family in your prayers, they loved him very much as well.

sad

I almost can't believe it sad

Lots of prayers for his parents and his girl friend who he adored pray

sad Very heartbreaking to hear this sad news. My condolences to his family and friends who have lost someone who touched their lives. When we leave this life for the next, I find solace by believing that there is somewhere beautiful after this life where we wait for our loved ones until we meet again. To those who loved him, he was taken to soon; but to The Maker and the Angels, he is right on time. Heaven got another angel. RIP Dewrede, you will be greatly missed but forever loved. pray

I don't like relying on the web to find all my answers but I was looking up pulmonary embolism, it is a blood clot that gets to your lungs or heart. This is such sad news to read about, I hope his family and loved ones can cope with this sudden tragedy. If were are truly Org friends then we should at least drop a note and say hi or keep in touch after Org meetings, we can have disagreements here and good discussions but lets not take it too seriously. Treasure your family and friends and your time on this planet. Be at peace Chris.

Condolences to his family and friends.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

peace and love 2 his family and friends take comfort in knowing he's with loved ones up above now

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Wow. We didn't always see eye to eye but I had a lot of respect for him nonetheless. So much love to his family and friends.

Hij was nooit bang voor een goede discussie. Veel gepraat over muziek en wat nou goede rock of funk is. Geen onnodig prater, behalve als het er toe deed.

En ondeugend en een goede pestkop. Dat waardeer ik in mensen.

We zullen hem missen. Heel veel sterkte voor zijn familie en vrienden.

He was a very smart, compassionate and progressive thinking person. We often didn´t get along very well and had many disagreements and even arguments here but I had a lot of respect for him and he definitely triggered a lot of thought processes in me. Now I wish I could´ve resolved some of the issues we had here because I know that deep inside he was a very caring person who just came across a bit rude while trying to make the world a better place. I will miss his presence on the org, he really made me think twice about many things, especially as far as politics and religion are concerned. Definitely someone I wish I could´ve met.

sad

May he rest in peace.

IIRC correctly, his main input in in P&R was defending what he saw as dutch culture from Islamic values and so on. Always a controversial topic, but I recall his passion and his willingness to fight his corner even if in the minority and facing criticism. Thats a quality I always admired in him.

Very sad. RIP.

me too sad

I feel bad because last Nov/Dec when I decided to shut down my org FB account and delete my org acount, he thought that perhaps for some reason we'd had a falling out, and when I told him I wasn't talking to ANYONE for a time he was very glad it wasn't something he did. I know he didn't have so much time for me either because he had met someone very special. Of course now I wish I'd kept in contact much more consistently. sigh coulda woulda shoulda.

Chris was there for me when I had my ups and downs, and we kept each other informed about our various health issues, me not realising how serious his were, but I have to say that every time he brought up something he was worried about I asked him GO SEE A DOCTOR.

Ugh, this just goes to show, if there is someone you are thinking about, that you feel bad for not calling, CONTACT THEM, let them know you care cry I know that I am so guilty of avoiding people for YEARS and it will be a real effort for me to do this rather than retreat even further into myself.

I will miss you Chris. We may not have agreed on much or had much in common, but we still remained firm friends because we had patience and tolerance for each others quirks, like for YEARS. I don't remember how we got talking but we chatted from probably 2006 onwards, and for a time daily.

In 2007 he missed a train and we never got to meet, but in 2010 we managed to get together finally.

I hope he won't mind me posting this, it means a lot to me - a very happy moment. Chris is on the right.

I'm the mistake you wanna make

Yes he had met a beautiful Lady and he adored her. She was in Holland last june.

We checked upon eachother every day for the last years abt our health but also just to chit chat (he slept on strange times because he always wanted to skype with his Lady)

I knew his health wasn't good and asked him hundred of times to go see a doctor but he was afraid especially for needles sad

Last friday he told me that he was afraid this was gonna happen and that he was scared cry

Will miss him very much rose
