Floyd Mayweather 'barely recognizable' after losing weight and growing out his hair in jail

Maybe Floyd Mayweather Jr's lawyer was right when he complained about the quality of food in jail.

In a new photo the undefeated prizefighter tweeted, Mayweather is 'barely recognizable,' having lost a great deal of weight and muscle tone and grown out his hair behind bars.

Mayweather was released from jail in Las Vegas earlier this month after serving 60 days of his 90-day sentence. He allegedly battered his ex-girlfriend in front of two of their three children in September 2010, but struck a deal that avoided felony charges.

A lot has happened in Mayweather's world since he was jailed June 1.

With no television in his solo cell, he could not see arch rival Manny Pacquiao lose his WBO welterweight title on June 9 to Timothy Bradley.

Mayweather, who goes by the nickname 'Money', was also not around to celebrate last month when Forbes magazine named him the world's highest-paid athlete for 2011.

And he missed fiancee Shantel Jackson's private birthday bash last week at a Las Vegas steakhouse with friends.

Review-Journal celebrity columnist Norm Clark noted that Mayweather sent diamonds. But Mayweather is now a free man, even if his next opponent is not immediately clear.

I had no idea who he was before reading the article, but looking at the pictures, ummm... so what? He bascially looks the same, so the "unrecognizable" comment is a gross overstatement. Sure, he looks a bit smaller, but 2 months of not being able to train and that will happen.

I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

I mean, he still looks jacked...more muscle than half the dudes at my gym (not counting the meatheads in the free weight section of course LOL)

May not be long. I keep reading reports that pre-jail when he and Fiddy started running around together, he was always throwing his money in strip clubs. Don't know if he ever recover them. Fiddy got more money than him so he'll live but Floyd, I don't know...

Most folks can only WISH they looked like this.

He should spend more time in jail, he looks healthy and relaxed.

He looks alright to me.

But this is what I'm talking about, he was beating his girl in front of his kids but he's about to get paid cause folks are in his corner.

Besides the hair, he looks the same to me. Still rockin' that bird chest.
