Insect Spy Drones in Production

The actual drone photo has not been used in this article.Image is CGI generated (source : http://www.garmada.com)

An insect spy drone is already in production according to various internet sources. This robotic insect can be controlled from a great distance and is equipped with a camera and a built-in microphone.

READ MOBILEMAG ARTICLE HERE

It has the capability to fly remotely and land on your skin, like a real mosquito, and use it’s super-micron sized needle to take your DNA sample. All you feel is the pain of a mosquito bite (without the burning sensation and the swelling ofcourse).

This device can also inject a micro RFID tracking device, right under your skin, without you feeling nothing more than a small bite.

creepy!!!! especially the bit about sampling DNA and insering RFID chips. who is to say this will not spread infection? disease?

i betcha it would not be difficult to create something to neutralize these fragile, electronically powered little spies. in fact, i bet that a simple spritz from a can of insect repellent will be sufficient to clog their teensy microphones and camera eyes. not to mention, a magnetic field.

still, very creepy.

Someone's geek wishlist I bet! lol

I'd be more concerned with some lunatic building stuff like this to inject people with diseases or toxins.

Judging from the robots we've seen already, I think this is a little ways off. But it almost certainly is coming.

A friend of mine went to UPen and now works with their engineering program, believe me,

they have made shit like this and worse. Just a few years ago he sent me a video of a flying

bug that they had made which could memorize entire areas so it wouldn't need to be contolled by

someone, they would just program a task and the little shit would go and do it.

At the time they were working on sound, as it was louder than they wanted. It's main purpose

was to go and take pictures/ record things but it was also equipped to pick things up and drop them

off. In the video that he sent, the little bastard bug flew to its test space, dropped off a small explosive, and flew away.

"Aren't you even curious? Don't you want to see the dragon behind the door?"

They have had those insect drones for years. All I have seen is that it can capture vidoe or live feed.

This would be a really interesting article if it actually said anything. You have to go at least 3 sources deep (and guess the right ones at each level) to get an actual story or anything remotely approaching a source for what this article suggests.
