My brother (who works in Hollywood) edited a quasi-official trailer for the new Adam Sandler movie, That's My Boy. He asked me to forward the link to everyone I know, so I'm posting it here:

It doesn't take long to watch. Feel free to comment whether you like it or think it's lame, sexist, or whatever. He just wants a lot of views. I'm not sure why.

It looks good, and I like the use of the song, but I can't really get a clue what the actual movie is about, only that it has a lot of strippers.

i just watched it with the sound off. a serious comment, but the edits are too fast. it flashes almost stroboscopically. folks with epilepsy would have a fit

the other thing they do in trailers by showing 2 seconds then a slow fade and repeating that, is fucking annoying too. as is cutting the entire 2 hours film into 2 minutes and spoiling it

show some T&A and the main characters and keep it simple. of fucking around with effects but not so fast cuts

I know that the plot involves Andy Samberg from SNL being Adam Sandler's son. Other than that, I'm not sure.

well that is my criticism of it. It doesn't really give any hint of the story, so it doesn't really sell the movie well, other than with sex

It's supposed to be a movie about a straight-laced young man, played by Andy Samberg, who is about to marry his college sweetheart, but just before his wedding, his hard-partying father, played by Adam Sandler, shows up unannounced. Turns out he fathered his son while he was in his teens and was a crappy parent.

This is my take too.

It doesn't give me any clue as to why I would want to watch it other than sex.

I mean, some movies withold information (Prometheus), but an Adam Sandler movie

should probably just reveal the plot, since it's not going to be intregal to the viewing

experience itself. Ironic, not being intregal to the movie experience doesn't mean

you can show a trailer with no indication of it.

I think most trailers are rubbish, and not intended to give any hint of the story, but rather a general feel of the movie.

I am a fan of Adam Sandler, so I can't wait to watch his new movie.

hmmmmmmmmmm I don't think you are getting any

The audience at the theater I was at did not seem at all impressed with this Sandler movie. But they loved the neighborhood watch trailer.

The reviews that I've read about "That's My Boy" have been dismal. The critics have said it's worse than last year's "Jack And Jill". But they said the unexpected star of the film is Tony Orlando. They said his character in the film is so outside the box and may surprise some people.

I thought that Adam Sandler didn't like Andy Samberg..that was the rumour for a long time.
