The Nets done lost their minds! You can't play basketball with four players, and that's assuming Williams stays. Williams, Wallace, Johnson and Howard (sounds like a lawfirm), and then what? They will have no players and will already have given away four future first round pics. disbelief

Ray Allen is going to meet with the Heat and Clippers. Didn't really see the Heat being involved in Ray's future. I guess he didn't feel as much like a Celtic as some other players. Like, I can't see Garnet ever meeting with the Heat.

I don't think so. If the Howard deal goes through, and Deron Williams stays, Nets have something to build around. Even without Howard, a team with Deron Willians, Lopez, Humphries, Wallace, & Johnson ain't bad.

They might be better served NOT 2 make that trade.

They've got more room to build and grow if they keep that team and don't acquire Howard. If they get Howard they will have traded EIGHT players and FOUR future FIRST ROUND draft picks for TWO PLAYERS. That math never works out in the NBA. It just makes no sense.

Deron is staying with the Nets. Now all they need to do is sign Joe Johnson.

The first round picks the Nets are offering for Dwight Howard would be in 2013, 15 and 17, guaranteed.

Amar'e plans to work out with Hakeem during the off-season. Maybe he'll actually give a fuck about defense and rebounding.

Hakeem should charge these mfers for his services.

Things are movin' fast...

Eric Gordon to the Suns for four years, $58 million.

--------------

Landry Fields has agreed to an offer sheet from the Raptors (really? lol ) for three years, $20 million.

------------------

According to Adrian Worjankowski...

"Nash and the Knicks are in the critical stages of discussions on a three-year deal worth between $27 million-$30 million to be executed through a sign-and-trade deal with the Suns. The Knicks would send rookie guard Iman Shumpert and two players – including Toney Douglas and Dan Gadzuric – to Phoenix for Nash, sources said.

Nash, a two-time MVP, has been enthusiastic about joining the Knicks' core of Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and Amar'e Stoudemire."

Personally, I'm not sure NYC is the best fit for him. But if it makes him happy, cool. He could certainly do worse.

He also reported..

"The Knicks also intend to match any offer restricted free-agent point guard Jeremy Lin receives."

Well that's certainly interesting. One would assume that because of his back issues and staying warm, Nash would start and Lin would come off the bench.

-----------------

Seems like there is still some interest for a Bynum/Howard trade form the Lakers and Magic, but it's complicated and nothing is going to happen fast.

---------------

The Warrior's, amongst others, are looking to sign Brandon Roy. Not sure how I feel about that, to be honest. Our team is shaping up nicely for the next two or three seasons and I wouldn't want him to get injured again and still be taking up a roster spot or salary cap space. But if we can get him cheap and he stays healthy, cool. Looks like a real possibility that he might end up here, though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I don't want fucking Steve Nash if it means losing Shumpert!! This is bullshit. Aside from Chandler, Shumpert is our best defender. Defense has never been one of Nash's strong points.

Fuck the Knicks - I can't the fucktards running their front office.

Holy shit! I just made two people and one cat turn around and give me this look eek when I yelled out "YEEEEESSSS!" lol

GREAT move for Nash and the Lakers. Nash can run around the court dribbling the ball, passing down to Bynum in the post, Pau at the elbows and Kobe wherever he is on the court. He'll never have to shoot and Kobe can work himself free without having to worry about somebody getting the ball to him.

There's also talk (I just saw it in two different articles) that Nash is trying to get Grant Hill over to the Lakers, too. Shhyah! lol

Sessions chose not to return to the Lakers. He had a player option that would have paid him $4.5 million next season. He chose to test the free agent market instead. Before they got Nash, Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak said they would try to get Sessions back. Not sure where that will go now.

Plus Nash can shoot if he has to. But the Lakers, Spurs, & Mavs still need speed to deal with the Thunder.

Lakers are still in the hunt for Dwight Howard. Maybe it's just me, but I have questions about his dedication to the game.

As a starter, I think I agree. He's definitely not the Kidd of old, anyway. If they had a good starter for him to play with, maybe pass on some of his knowledge, I could see it really working. Buuuuut...

Jeremy Lin accepted an offer from Houston for, reportedly, "$10.2 million over the first two seasons and $9.3 million in each of the last two years. The fourth season is a team option." The Knicks will have 3 days starting July 11th to match that offer. They said they would match any offer he got - be interesting to see if they're still interested for $19.5-28.8 million.

If Lin ends up in NY as a starter or backup I can see Kidd being useful. I think he'd be better coming off the bench at this point.

Jason Terry going to the Celtics. What?! What's goin' on in Dallas? I figured the Jet would have finished his career there. Lots of players leaving, no free agents signing - something is stinky in Dallas.

--------------------

Although I'm SUPER stoked that Nash ended up in LA, I thought for sure he would go to Miami. Now it sounds like Ray Allen is headed there.

Heat are also going to meet with Rashard Lewis.

Working on improving that depth, for sure.

-------------------

Suns signed Goran Dragic to a four year, $30 million deal. Saw that comin', makes sense.

------------------

The Magic re-signed Jameer Nelson (deal not yet announced), still have to figure out what they're going to do with Ryan Anderson and J.J. Redick. Oh... and that other guy... Howard or something.

-------------------

Thunder signed Hasheem Thabeet. yawn

Brandon Roy will make his comeback with the Timberwolves, and I'm cool with that. The Warriors don't need another injury prone player.

-----------------

Sixers waive Elton Brand under the amnesty clause. He could be a good fit on the right team, maybe even a contender, if he keeps his attitude straight. He still averages 11 and 7 last season. Looks like he may get picked up off waivers before he ever becomes a free agent.

They've also decided not to sign Lou Williams, who average 15 off the bench last season. So there's another nice free agent who is now on the market for a new team.

They signed Nick Young to a one year deal.

Not sure exactly what they're doing, other than getting under the new cap that starts next season. Seems like they were a pretty solid team last year. Be interesting to see what other changes they make this off season.

I'm actually pretty stoked on Ray Allen going to Miami. Ray was one of my favorite players for a lot of years before he went to the Celtics, who I absolutely HAAAAAAATE! I've always hated Paul Pierce and have never been a KG fan, either (even though I respect both of their games). So for me, paying any attention to the Celtics was all about Ray Allen. Now I can go back to ignoring them again! lol He wasn't going to get as much playing time with the players they've been picking up, anyway. Also, it's nice to see somebody ignore that "Celtic for life" bs and do what's best for them, instead.
