It's like no matter how hard you try to be a good person, motherfuckers will always fuck it up. That's why I deal with life one day at a time. It'll be all over one day so just chill until then. That's been my mindset since like 1999.

I think that fairness depends on the perspective. While I may not think something is fair, it may need to happen for a bigger purpose or it maybe it happens for no reason at all. Regardless, it IS and we can choose how we handle it and it is our actions which define us and not this external thing that "isn't fair."

Genetics isn't just looks.

My friends mother and sister died from breast cancer so she had a double mastectomy because that elevated likelihood she will also have it is in her genes.
That kind of unfair :nod:

Another friend of mine won't have children because her brother and cousin both died young from cystic fibrosis. She is a carrier of the gene.

Genetics could've meant health issues from what Jedi mentioned... you hate to hear about how something like cancer or diabetes is in your family and chances are you may get it or even get a blood clot. You hate hearing that shit but I always look at it like "shit happens". neutral But it's still sad.

But, for some reason, I don't think this is unfair. To say that it's unfair seems to put a moral imperative on life itself. Like there's some creator out there who allows it to happen. And that would be even more cruel to me. To me, life is just filled with dukka, but there's no fairness or unfairness to it---it just is....never ending, ceaseless..... I think it makes us more compassionate if we allow it to.

I consider myself to be VERY LUCKY. Life has dealt me all manner of painful experiences. The last few years has seen me vascilate between extreme lows, and numbed mid-tones....and yes, wonderful moments too.

Oh why am I typing this for all you fucks.

I am at peace with the fact that life can sometimes seem unfair. I honestly try to laugh as often as possible (especially at myself) and to not take things that truly aren't that serious - too seriously.

The licensed apparel business isn't what it use to be, so the genius at the top decided to cut the art staff(the folks who do the actual work) in half. But no cuts were made in the sales dept., and all those cats do is take half days off to play golf and fuck their mistresses. If sales worked as hard as we did, maybe business would be better. Once I REALLY understood that life was unfair, to be honest, I quit going to church and reading my bible. If I were to just be honest. Seems there's no rhyme or reason or fairness to any of this mess and I have a hard time with that.
