what do you guys think of ghosts and the supernatural? think its all real like in films like paranormal activity and all these ghost hunting programs? I actually believe my house has some sort of spirit in it but I dont know its never been a hostile ghost anyway

If people turn into ghost, then at what point in our evolution did we gain this ability to become one?

I mean, was it when we were apes? Or one of the missing links? When was this accomplished?

And if so, why aren't there billions of ghosts? We should be seeing them everywhere.

I don't believe in ghosts. Certainly not in any traditional sort of fashion. Maybe there are eddys of energy and cold spots, but no I don't believe my grandma is lurking around the house knocking over cups.

Without a doubt, i'm a believer. I caught an EVP once and my mother,aunt, uncle and cousin have all had experiences. Ill tell the stories and post the evp in the next couple days!

I find it depressing that even after one is dead that they'd be tied permanently to this planet, in one spot day after day, and on top that be unable to contribute anything the world even in the smallest way. I wouldn't want that to be my fate for eternity.

perhaps, ghosts are vistors from another dimension. somewhere outthere within the deep void of space. perhaps these beings sometimes appear in our dimension. Perhaps, we as a collective group using our mind create this being in order to lull ourselves to the idea of death.

that would freak me out, ive only ever had that feeling like there is someone in the room with you, the lights dimmed not going fully out and then going really bright again. Sometimes I hear like footsteps running down the hall and funny things happen when its only me in the house

Spirits are very real. I see them all the time, I have seen my mothers ghost on many occasions, I frequently have dreams where I speak to spirits and exorcise demons. I feel presences when I visit old homes and any house with a story to tell. Spirits are real and many are merely trapped on their way to the afterlife.

I am not high, not on drugs or alcohol, my mind is pure and free. The fact I believe in ghosts and understand them means I am not afraid of them.

My mother told me about an experience she had when she was about 17(1960's). One of her friends came to her house to visit. They were talking at the front door(my mother inside the friend outside) when my mother swears that she saw this woman with long hair falling from the sky into the canal next to her house. My mother says that she ran to her mother telling her what happened. They called the police and they came to check the canal to see if there was any signs of a body but nothing was there. I asked my mom do you think it could have been a bird or someone jumping from the edge of the canal ? She said no. Shes adamant that what she saw was a white lady in a dress falling about 25 feet from the sky into the canal. She says she even seen the splash whe the person hit the water. My mother isnt known for lying or imagining things so go figure.

Also my uncle had a experience. One day he came home from work and found his roomates playing with a ouija board in the living room. My uncle was tired so he went in his room to go to sleep. He said he was dozing off when he sees a small figure at the corner of his bed. He was like what the f***! He gets up and turns on the lights to see if there is anything there. There isn't. He turns out the lights and about 10 minutes later he sees something dark in the room. Now hes freaking out. He goes into the living room and tells his roomates about what he is seeing. The roomates are also freaked out about it. A few days later his roomates tell him that when they were playing with the ouija board they contacted this spirit that said it was young boy. My uncle also isn't the type of person to imagine things.

I have never seen a ghost however I have felt the presence of many and have experienced a spirit's physical hold once. I do believe they exist but I don't know how they became or where they come from.

No, because when I saw a psychic (2 different ones, twice) they both said my mother and a great aunt were watching over me and they would protect me from malevolent spirits and demons, also even though I am not a dogmatic christian, I am a firm believer in God and the protective and pure powers of our Lord Jesus Christ. I feel like I am helping spirits not hurting them, usually many spirits are grounded into being ghosts because their time was too soon or they preceded their death (God usually has your time of death in mind) through something like a suicide or a murder, the spirit wants to move on after death, and most will eagerly move on if they are exorcised, usually its an evil spirit or a demon holding them in a place. Sometimes its the spirit of a timid child or person who is trapped and too scared to move on.

Those movies are just Hollywood garbage, same with images of ghosts as bed sheets going "Woo! and anything ghost that appears like its a skull or decomposed, most self respecting spirits will not only try to appear as they did in life, but at a time when they felt they were at the prime of life. In all my dreams of Mums spirit and the times I have seen her, I have seen aging from her late teens to early 40s not as a teeth chattering skull, or the cancer ridden spectre she before died.

Maybe teh exorcism dreams are dreams, but I have exorcised presences twice, being an anthrolopology major and having seen dead bodies I am not scared, I have seen it all before and in some ways spirits are beautiful and pure.

Here's one more to ponder.

Someone close to my family had a real negative experience with a ouija board. The mother bought this ouija board and started playing with it with her two kids(son and daughter). The kids must have been about 7 or 8 at the time (late 70's.). After a while the daughter started acting real strange. She started seeing this old lady in a black dress who would tell her that she was coming for her . The lady would say a bunch of negative stuff to her. After a while the mother finally realised that things were serious. She got rid of the ouija board but the daughter kept acting strange. My mother told me that one time she went into the daughters room to make sure she was asleep. She walked up to the daughter(in bed with her eyes closed looking like she was asleep)when all of a sudden the daughter punched my mom in the stomach hard. My mom was starled. Also one time my aunt(moms sister)was sleeping in the same bed as the daughter. They were both laying down(side by side), when all of a sudden my aunt opened her eyes and found the daughter standing straight up in the bed. My aunt freaked out because she didn't feel any movement on the bed. She told me it was like the daughter went form a sleeping position to a standing position just like that. The daughter use to sleepwalk and stare into space a lot. They said it was like she was hypnotized.

Finally they went to the pastor of a local church. He came and blessed the house and prayed over the daughter and things went away.

The mother messed up by playing with the ouijia board with small kids. My mom said that she would go to the house and the daughter would be playing with the ouija board by herself.

After hearing stories from my family about paranormal stuff, im a believer. Im not sure what ghosts are though. I don't really subscribe to the whole walk to the light thing.

Good tale, the old lady in black sounds like a malevolent spirit that probably had a hard life and wanted to bring misery on those with a happy one. Malevolent spirits thrive on fair and unfortunately will attack the vulnerable like young children.

Ouija boards in general and seances I do not reccommend becuase you have no control over the spirits you may contact, they are dangerous and its very easy to invite in an evil (malevolent) or even a demon (a spirit of an unworldly creature and evil force). If spirits want to contact they usually like to make their presence known conventionally. This woman is very lucky the pastor managed to exorcise the evil spirit.
