At the least, all of Malcolm's surving daughters denied the story. But the late Dr Manning Marables said otherwise during the results of his research for the makings of this biography:

It was said that Malcolm was bi during the Detriot Red-era.

The UK has more than enough of their own tabloid news media outlets so they don't need a freaking Perez Hilton snitching OR outing anyone.

Well that's how i feeL is the simplest way of putting it
Plus it doesn't help i was just watching The Boondocks Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Exactly!
the man is a hero to many, so who cares if he got busy with men or women. That has nothing to do with the struggle Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

lol yeah the reason Perez's bullshit ain't reached y'all's news is because y'all still know how to separate bullshit from the real. Not such the case in the entertainment media here because those lines have been blurred for a while. How i wish that was true! Dont believe the hype! The dumbed down ignorance is at an all time high here. and in the UK the LGBT celebreties seem to have enough class not to stand on a roof top and yell their sexuality business to everyone on the street or on the tele!

There are not a lot of roles out there for strong, black women in Hollywood. I'm guessing if Latifah & Raven came out there would be even less roles for them. Hollywood is stupid. I think it's great when anyone lives their life openly but I respect their need for privacy. I love Ellen and I love that she's being embraced however I do feel the media defines her by her sexuality. And I can see how someone in a similar position would try to avoid that. So is this your new obsession Tony? First it was the Illuminati, and now you wanna out every gay/bisexual person in Hollywood?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
They're not in denial. It's just none of our fucking business. The fact is, being a homosexual in this country makes you less than. PERIOD. Fuck all the gay friendly shit you see. The big picture says being gay isn't cool around these parts.
Not to mention, the media expects to get all in your business and ask all types of questions about your relationship and life as a gay person once they come out. I don't think it's fair that just because many celebrities are open about their sexuality to show solidarity and pride in just being who they are, doesn't mean every celebrity should be comfortable talking about something that is actually extremely personal and private. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

Although I agree with this, I think that being outed is a deathnail in business a lot of times. People can spew rhretoric about how liberated and inclusive their companies are, but at the end of the day, it usually affects you one way or another.
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple is possibly the most powerful gay man in the world right now, and remains in a glass closet mainly I suspect because it would hurt Apple to some extent. Apple isn't just trying to sell its products to liberals and forward thinking people or countries--it's trying to do so everywhere.
I think folks who pass judgement on 'in the closet' folks are being very unfair. They're sometimes not the ones who have to make such 'sacrifices' or have the same career goals or pressures.
The closet cases I dislike are the politicians and religious leaders who say really nasty things against gays, bis, and lesbians but are getting it on in bath houses and public restrooms.
