Back in the day, probably even up into the early 90s, it was feesible that "strange creatures" could exist in the wilderness without being found, seen, recorded, etc.

These days we have technology that lets us scan large areas electronically any number of different ways (they did it in Loch Ness - no Nelly, or Nessie, or whatever).

Also, why are all the videos "only a few seconds before it ran back into the wilderness", and why do they always look like shit? In the 80s that made sense. Now? No way. The average person can film small objects hundreds of yards away with digital clarity. The government can see your ass from space.

At least with aliens I could buy into them having to be more technologically advanced than us to travel to Earth, so there's a chance they could sneak in, check stuff out, abduct some people and sneak back out without being seen (or without clearly being seen, or without the government admitting they've been seen ).

So, anyway, I'm not trying to poop in the path or the parade. I just don't buy this stuff anymore.

That's cool! I personally think that the possibility is still there,even though we are more electronically advanced now. Maybe the government has seen it,and just doesn't find it worthy of letting us know,same with Loch Ness. I don't get serious about it,but I do find the possiblity interesting.

I have watched that show on Animal Planet,and I don't take it seriously. I mean why in the world would anyone that believed,that they could come across such a animal,go into the woods at night with nothing,but a camera man,and night vision gear.

A group of high school students may have come close to Bigfoot during a class project in the Idaho wilderness.

I find the idea of a Bigfoot interesting. I think it would be neat to actually see one,not in person though!

I know they have people that actually search for Bigfoot,I just hope that if it/he/she, is ever found they leave it alone!

In regards to the bold part, I'm right there with you. IF it turned out to be true I wouldn't like, freak out or anything. I'd be like, "oh wow, that's really cool". I mean, we are still discovering all types of plant, reptile and small animal species in remote forests around the world. But it's really hard for large mammals to stay hidden at this point. And the mythical, fantastical ones - I just can't buy into their being real anymore. But I DO still find the possibility interesting.

Unfortunately, I believe the people who did the sonar and other tests in Loch Ness were independent scientists who actually WANTED to find something. Not government, trying to keep info from people (which I'm perfectly willing to believe has happened at some points in our past - just not as often as some people would have you believe).

Never seen the show. Didn't even know there was one until this thread. I don't think I watch Animal Planet at all.

Yeah beef jerky! I still can't get the name out though. But yeah it had something to do with beef jerky. Apparently beef jerky can be used to act a fool not knowing about the consequences of their actions.
