and because of this r they losing their masculinity??? NO

or should i b asking .....

r metrosexual men still masculine.... YES

what is a metrosexual man other than one who takes pride in his appearance and hygeine? This absurd notion that only gay men cared about such things was started around 2001 when the Rat Pack and old school style was making a comeback among men....probably in response to all the grunge and hip hop. shrug If we think about it....your metrosexuals were always around. Think Sidney Poitier, Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant, or pretty much any dude who was either English or from the Carribean. lol

The only way a man could lose his masculinity is if he gave it up of his own free will. Or maybe got the shit kicked and fucked out of him during an extended stay at a maximum security prison.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

OK, well I think that most people on this site are living in a "western" society, and most of us have a vague sense of what year we're living in, so I would dare to say that no one would consider RuPaul as being "masculine".

We use that description, and other descriptions (such as "metrosexual", "butch", "burly", "scrawny", "nerdy", "sexy", etc.) in the context of what our society today associates with those descriptions.

50 years ago I could say you were "gay" and people would understand that to mean that you are happy. 100 years from now, the term "gay" could mean something completely different. So yes, our concepts and our associations change. BUT we're living in the here-&-now.

It's really not a big deal.

I live in a "western" society too, but I'm sure we wouldn't agree on all things "masculine" and "feminine".

RuPaul is "feminine" because it is well known he is trying to appear feminine.

woot! Yeah! We agree on something!!! dancing jig
