this isn't a new or original routine, so there does seem to be a lame on-going 'comedic' theme that women become preoccupied with other shit during sex...not sure if this has to do with some of them not having sense enough to actually verablize likes & dislikes to their partner or that they've chosen a sexually inadequate partner and grudgingly decided to stick with 'em...either way, some women just need to shut the fuck up when 'that shit" gets in their hair biggrin

I think this joke comes from a more old-fashioned mentality when women used to go to school, graduate then look for a man with whom to have kids and support them. And if the man turned out to be boring in bed then big deal. The important thing was they had a husband. I mean, what was the alternative? Divorce him? Unheard of! I'm sure after years of marriage it's still like this for some women today--there was at least one orger that admitted on a thread that she wouldn't mind having less sex with her husband--but I think most women now, especially the younger ones, are more vocal about what they want.

It goes back even further. Women weren't even meant to enjoy sex (let alone have an education)! They were supposed to lay back and think of England.

Because I'm kinda married to this. 80% of things are awesome. The sexual side...not at all. Not one bit.

how long have you been married? Is she on anti-depressants or birth control?

i'm pretty sure that is not the right way to regard this issue confused

I can't believe a lot of you are actually taking this seriously....

It's just a joke. shrug

look at it this way. it's like that clip that caused such a ruckus on the ORG a while ago, it was a short where a black man was doing a mock-up of what white women did everytime he got on the elevator. it was over the top, more like a demonstration than a record of any real, live encounter.

this is the same thing. a mock-up. a woman acting out a stereotype. so on the one hand we can take it at face value and say 'this clip is clearly a joke, not meant to be taken seriously, it's entertainment.' but the other viewpoint is equally valid: 'this clip memorializes a certain stereotype, which does exist, and we are speaking on the stereotype. not on the clip itself.'

for me, i'm aware that the actual clip of this woman is a joke. but i'm also aware that the role she is playing is based in reality. it's a mixture.

I do remember some sex survey done by some university which did delve into what women said they thought about during sex, and it did come out with some unusual answers, with a lot of women actually saying that they thought about planning for the next day or upcoming day, especially when they weren't quite turned on towards orgasm yet. Then some neurosurgeon mentioned how the section of the brain responsible for planning and organizing is situated next to the pleasure center of the brain, so when the pleasure center is stimulated, the planning section is also stimulated.

13 years, mostly all really good. She just has issues from having a couple of nutjob parents.

I'm not sure if internet porn has ever saved marriages..but it certainly has kept ours going.

If I am not totally focused and turned on I will start thinking about all kind of things and be turned off easily. Thank God that hardly ever happened as usally the sex I had was breath-taking whew. But I can imagine that women who don't enjoy sex as much as I do could easily get distracted.

the pill made my wife absolutely psycho! She took herself off it for that reason, and went IUD.

What really killed the libido was having kids. Before then I was the one avoiding the constant demand for sex. How times change neutral

I really don't know, but she wants it out this year, and me fixed.

That's cool, just gotta get around to it. Maybe she'll get her groove back, who knows?

hang in there!! it will come back! When my kids were younger I didnt have half the drive I do now! After dealing with children, work, laundry, cooking, scrubbing bathrooms, vaccumming, dusting, paying bills, grocery shopping, pets, husband, school stuff, ETC ETC ETC.. day after day it can zap the drive right out of you!!

If your not doing this, help her out!

There is nothing wrong with thinking during sex.

Hell, sometimes all I am thinking about is my partner/how good it feels/if I should cover my face

with a pillow in 5 seconds bc my partners parents are visiting and I'm about to scream...

There are other times when I'm thinking about other things while I build up. Money that needs to

be moved from one account to another, if my partner has always had that mole or if she/he

should visit the doctor etc.

Just because I'm thinking, doesn't mean I'm not having a fucktastic time. The only time thoughts

generally get erased all together is when I am cuming.

Lets also not forget that there are men who also think about other things during sex shrug

my view is that women enjoy sex...good sex...just as much as men do....the only difference..apart from the getting pregnant bit smile ...is that women are a bit more complex in mind department....the part that turns you on and what goes on in the brain to get women going....men are petty simple creatures when it comes to sex but ...the actual act...i think is just as pleasurable to both sexes....i think good oral sex will feel just the same for both sexes and everything else...
