I do hate our national/social hypocrisy regarding prison. We don't want to rehabilitate people, we just want to see them suffer, which is sick.

The death penalty is intended to rid society of people whose crimes are so atrocious that they no longer have a place alongside us.

That being said, our criminal justice system is so f*cked up, that it's just all bullshit.

Jails in general are not places of "rehabilitation". They are places of incarceration. I can't imagine what it would take to enforce "rehabilitation" upon people. Maybe we should re-visit selective lobotamization or come up with advanced hypnosis or something?

But in the end, nothing matters after 12/21/12 since we're all biting the big one anyway.

Agree with everything you said except the hypnosis and 12/21/12 part. I don't believe in hypnosis and as for 12/21.....Ima be in Vegas so the world simply cannot end. Plus there's too many pregnant women walking around. That tells me the world will go on.

and yes I watch the discovery and science channels and I've never seen an animal mother sacrifice her offspring to a predator. NEVER! Nor have I seen an animal mother fuck her own offspring. Abandonment to save one's own life is different from garnering the attention of another and offering your child up to their perverted fantasies and doing that thing over and over again. You must be watching some freaky ass cartoons cuz you sure aren't watching the Discovery channel.

Humans are the only animals that do that. But your question was, "What female animal do you know that wouldn't fight to the death to protect her offspring from a predator?"

I never suggested that animals offer up their offspring to predators. Just pointing out that they do not fight to the death to protect their offspring.
