Which Twilight Zone episode(s) REALLY messed you up?

I'm bored, and this is usually a fun topic, so I thought I'd put it out there. I'll chime in later.

Most of them! My favorite is one where there are two people who realize that they are in an alien doll house.

TRON

There was a huge marathon over Christmas and a few really stand out:

-When Robert Redford pretends to be injured so that an old woman will take him into her home. She's terrified to go out cuz she doesn't want death to take her. He turns out to be death.

-An old man is near death. His last wish for his family is for them to put on these party masks that represent the ugly aspects of humanity. After they take off the masks, their faces are molded to that shape.

Now it all makes sense. Nan is no longer afraid.
She gets back into the car, and in her vanity mirror
sees the hitchhiker, who asks, " I believe you're going my way?"

With Telly Savalas as the dad. He tried to cut the doll's head off and everything and...well, I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't seen it.

I also liked the one about the devil who was locked in the man's basement, but before that he was in a dungeon somewhere.

Those "Twilight Zone" marathons are the best!

the original...

"Wish it into the cornfield, Anthony!"
that terrified me so bad, eye couldn't watch the show until eye was grown.

the opening credit music was scarey as well with the body floating in space, and opening eyeball, doors slamming, a hypno-wheel turning...the time clock ticking, the huge hourglass dripping...
heck...
some giant woman n a ...what was she dressed n? they didn't have 50ft bedsheets n those days!
that was not a 'Zone' movie but it didn't take much 2 scare us back then.

which is y most were NOT ready 4 the Xorcist.
claimed if u read the book backward u would go mad...sheesh. if that was sci-fi, they must get ideas straight from 'hell' these daze.

Yeah, and then the kid thinks he's all safe, and sees the ghost-monster guy late at night in a park, and he keeps coming at him, and the kid says, "Hey wait a minute! You said you never kill the kid under whose bed you live!" And the boogey-man guy says, "But I'm the monster that lives under someone ELSE'S bed!" omg And the kids all, "AAAHHH..." (evil, echoey laugh-fading out) Wooo-hooo-haaa-haaa-haaarrrggghhh...

Yeah, the one with Talking Tina. I also hate the one where everyone was going around agreeing with young Billy Mumy or he would wish you away.

Most of these show are classics. I love to watch the marathons they bring back so many memories.

My mother avidly watched Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and Alfred Hitchcock when I was a child. She always told me not to watch and I always did.

Now they're not quite so scary, except to think that a lot of the stuff they trivialized then is happening now.
