Antenna + Windows Media Center = free HDTV + DVR!

I got one of these:

http://www.gomohu.com/lea...antenna-1/

and, together with Windows Media Center (standard in most versions of Windows 7 and Vista and also part of some editions of XP), I'm watching and timer-recording some sweet, sweet 1080p! cloud9

You can pick up nine channels, where I am (you may get even more - see here)*.

Of course, you can also hook up WMC to your cable or satellite and just use it as an awesome DVR!

woot!

*Unlike old analog signals, with digital TV you either get the channel with 100% clarity or not at all. There is no such thing as a snowy picture.

What's the difference between this Leaf Antenna and the other Paper Thin Leaf Indoor HDTV Antenna? The latter sales for $34.79 over at Amazon.com.

They do get pixilated from time to time, depending in reception. But nothing at all like the snowstorms of the 80's

Yes. But, since I got the Leaf Plus, that seems to be a thing of the past! woot!

I only get 8 digital channels over the air in my podunkadunk little town. sad (Okay, it's not that little; it's about 250,000 people between the city and the three suburbs plus some outlying areas.) But I only get the big four TV networks, the CW, MyNetwork TV, a weather channel, and Bounce TV. When I was still living in Chicago, however, I was able to pull in 30 digital channels, some of which were pretty awesome.

I haven't added Windows Media Center to my TV yet, but I should consider it, since I have an old computer in the closet. I need to get an HDMI card installed though; I have 4 HDMI ports, and it would be easier to install a computer to the TV via HDMI and watch some of the movies I downloaded via BitTorrent.
