Shooot. You'll never get an argument from me about that. But at the same time coach could yell from the sideline, "LeBron! Get the damn ball!"

Sometimes, hunger beats out, experience. The Celtics are hungry, and seems to want it more. I would not be surprised if it's OKC vs. Boston, in the finals. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Miami was out-hustled, which is inexcusable. And I don't understand why Bosh didn't get more PT.
I'm not writing off Miami & San Antonio yet. If they can take it to Game 7, I think both will win.

Doc Rivers knows how to make adjustments.

Already I'm hearing & reading that Miami should break up the Big 3 if they fail this season. Bullshit. What they need to do is surround the Big 3 with a better supporting cast.

I've been sayin' that all season. Who are they going to get that's better than Wade, James and Bosh. Wade and James are STILL going to get most of the shots if they get rid of Bosh. And as I said earlier in this thread, Bosh was solid for them this season. He helped them win a lot of games. They need 2-4 (depending on their skill level) better players on their roster and they'll be fine. No offense to the guys they have, because they aren't scrubs. But a lot of them ARE older, broken down or were never better than a bench player to begin with.

Agree. 100%. And it may not be that Spoelstra doesn't know HOW to make them, either. It could be that his players don't BELIEVE he knows how to make them. I think Spoelstra is a good coach, but it's always looked to me like Wade and LeBron are doing whatever they want out there.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I think that's exactly what is happening. Spoelstra is not the kind of coach to be as stern to get the job done. If they go with that process, they ain't winning a championship.

Can you imagine how dangerous Miami would be with Steve Nash at the point?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That would be nuts since Steve still got his game... man oh man... I would definitely root for them if he joins them now that I think about it.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
From the moment he said he was going to "test the waters" at the end of the season that's exactly what I've believed is going to happen. Steve Nash can shoot, but he doesn't care if he takes a single shot so long as his team is winning. He would be an absolute perfect fit on that team. He's also not ridiculously expensive at this point - he just wants titles. So that would leave them room for other players, too.

^...and Nash can tell LeBron & Wade where to go on the court because he's an established, veteran PG.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yep. He'd be a great on-court coach.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Knicks need that to - a veteran PG who's not afraid to challenge the stars. Someone who'll say, "I'm running the damn offense - get to your sweet spot and I'll get you the ball."

OKC is playing like ass. Soft on defense and way too many threes. Take the ball to the fucking hoop!

It looks like the Thunder have been bailed out by the refs like they have been all season. I don't think I could bear to watch an OKC/Miami Finals. It just might break the space-time continuum. I will forever be surprised; I've rarely seen a team so emphatically win the first two games of a series and then be so completely outplayed over the next four. But DAMN am I happy it's OKC in the finals! Woo-hoo!

I saw it coming a mile away.

Western Conference Finals
Game 6
The Thunder rolls.
But when the game began, it was the Spurs who looked like they were ready to move on into the NBA Finals, or at least game seven of this series. They jumped out to a huge lead, and their big stars, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Stephen Jackson were on fire, scoring 61 points by halftime and leading OKC by 15. The Spurs led by as much as 18 points.
And then the Thunder came rolling back with a vengeance.
They did it with transition scoring and suffocating defense, holding the Spurs to a total of 38 points in the second half. OKC stormed back to take a six point lead by the fourth quarter, and while San Antonio tried to get back into the game, they were simply no match for the youth, enthusiasm, or frenzied home crowd of the Thunder. Kevin Durant led all players with 34 points and 14 rebounds while Russell Westbrook had 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists, and James Hardin had 16 points off the bench. Even Derek Fisher hit some key shots down the stretch to lead the Thunder to victory. Tim Duncan looked like the superstar of old at times, scoring 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, while Tony Parker led the Spurs with 29 points and 12 assists in a losing effort Stephen Jackson added 23 points off the bench. But Manu Ginnobili, who had been one of the most dependable players in this series, struggled in this game, scoring only 10 points while getting into foul trouble early.
The Oklahoma City Thunder now make their first appearance into the NBA Finals since moving to the Great Plains from Seattle four years ago. It will be the franchise's first NBA Finals appearance since 1996, when the then-Seattle Supersonics faced the Chicago Bulls.
Oklahoma City wins series 4-2.

The Thunder played well in the 2nd half, but the referees played a huge role in OKC's comeback. I haven't been the incredulous about reffing for a long time, and I don't like either the Spurs or the Thunder. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! It's going to be a war tonight - serious pressure on LeBron James to get it done. Miami still has trouble with the zone.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I wish it had been a war. More of the same unexpected wackiness in the 2012 playoffs. Not that Miami won, but the way they won. Go Heat! LeBron better bring that shit the next game, too.
