Not trying to go off topic here but this reminds me of Chastity Bono- I've seen her in interviews talking about her "first lesbian experience" and it was when she was like 16 and still in high school and it was with her mother's best friend! Who of course was her mother (Cher's) age. They didn't tell Cher and Chaz talks about this relationship like it was completely normal. WTF? To me it is completely F*&%ed up! This woman was the age of her mother and the friend of her mother, she should have been looking at Chaz as her friends child, not as a sexual interest! To me when I hear her in interviews talk aabout this woman, I think, "Predator!" - Wonder what Cher must of thought? I'd a beat that woman up!
Maybe she was saying it to cover it up by saying that it was "normal". I heard Chaz got turned out at around 13 or 14 by Cher's friend. Chaz didn't feel totally comfortable living a gay lifestyle, hence why she became a man. Ike Turner was sexually molested at six by an older woman but he also dismissed the abuse as "normal behavior".
I think you're right. I think she was younger, like 13 or 14, which is so totally sick! But she describes this woman as "the love of my life" so I don't think she quiete realizes that she was violated by a predator. Personally, I think this woman f&%$ed Chaz up. I like Chaz but I think she has some issues and I feel bad for her. She always seems sad to me. Even when she's "happy" in interviews, she has an undercurrent of sad. Cher should have beat that b^*%$ up. I would have.
And what you said about Ike Turner, men look at it different. I know a guy who is a lawyer and prosecutes sexual offenders and he once told me that when he was young, his father bought him a hooker (he was like 16) because his father was worried that he was still a virgin. And that kind of f$#@ed the guy up as now doesn't seem to date but insteads makes dates with hookers constantly instead of real relationships. But he doesnt see anything wrong with the fact that he lost his virginity to a 40 year old hooker. Goodness..... |

Yeah men take a different approach to it unless the abuser was the same sex. But to me it's still abuse. What's sadder is that it's always expected of straight male kids to have sex before turning 18 because "it proves you're a man". Unfortunately that has been part of the tradition for so long that even now these types of relationships are defended. Ask Mary Kay and Vili how people viewed their relationship. Vili to this day say Mary didn't abuse her. And they married now. |

Oh my God, I know. I've seen interviews with Mary Kay and Villi. Mary Kay is a nice predator. (ha- I say that tongue in cheek) she comes across as such a nice woman but she's bat shit crazy and she messed that boys life up. Now he's DJing and they do these "hot for teacher" venues where he DJ's and she mingles with the crowd. Crazy bitch.

I had a woman laugh at me when I told her I would beat my son's ass if he had sex before the age of 16. She told me that it was un-natural for boys not to have sex. So I pointed to her daughter and asked, "What about your daughter? Are you going to encourage her to start fucking ASAP as well?" She said no, that's different.
What a load of
I honestly think women need sex just as much as men do, so if a girl can wait then so should a boy. Its so ridiculous how we still use double standards in this day and age...
oh, and that woman's boy made her a grandmother when he turned 16... |

I don't get it. I personally think we should encourage virginity in both young men and women. One shouldn't get priority over the other. I think it would also generate fidelity in relationships and marriages.

ditto. sex is for adults not children or teenagers, imo. i dont believe in double standards either. boys are NOT more prepared to have sex at such a young age- its just that they are being smaked down by testoterone which makes them something like 20 times more horny than their female peers. its basic biology. and human beings have always been at are best when we are attempting to surmount are basic instincts. Teenaged girls get just as horny as their male counterparts, its just that girls don't get erections.
Heck, I was a hormonal mess as a teen, and thought of sex ALLLL the time.
This is why both girls and boys should wait, and I agree with you that teenaged boys should just wait to have sex. So much pressure... |

...and about her girl she said "that's different" ? Just who does she think horny boys are going to have sex with if not with our daughters? Old dried up hookers from the local escort service? A banana cream pie? Blow-up doll, perhaps? People kill me with their double standards. I swear this sounds like a Carla Stawberry "Strawberry Letter" advice segment from the Steve Harvey Show where a mother wanted to be mad at the 11+ teenaged girls her 17 year old son got pregnant since the age of 13. Carla was like, "really? you're mad at the girls for getting themselves into this situation and you having to spend all your money to support these grandkids??? "

and her biggest concern in the letter was about how to pay for all the DNA tests to prove which kids were her son's or not, because in her mind, these girls were trying to "trap" her "fine" son, and they needed to share the cost of getting all this straightened out.
It was as if she completely overlooked his irresponsibility and her own lack of parenting skills and wanted to blame "those floosies" . Talk about double standards, this mess completely takes the cake! |

Some women should learn before having sex because they might get a reflection of who they were with their own children. |

I used to think the men created the double standards but now I think maybe the women created them or at least encouraged and expanded them. So much of they dysfunction in male/female relationships and family dynamics can really be laid at the feet of women. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. hey it has always been men that created the double standard and if they did more to raise their own children instead put all the responsibility on women then THEY TOO WOULD JUST AS RESPONSIBLE FOR HOW FUCKED THE KIDS ARE. is it convieniant that "mommy always breaks the baby" while dads off doing, what? where the hell was this boys dad.... oh probably patting him on the back tellinbg him what a good job he's not- glad to know he isnt gay or something.
