In elementary school I had a pair that were waaaaay to tight. We were playing football at recess and I asked the team "captain" if I could kick the punt. He said cool and I kicked it....terribly...he said I knew them jeans were too tight.

I never wore a tight pair of jeans again in my life, for ANY reason.

You know... back in the day we wore our jeans sooooooo tight i remember laying on the bed to zip them up... So what I dont understand is, you see girls nowadays sportin MUFFIN TOP all over the damn place... We didnt have muffin top back in the 80's... Whats up with that? Is it because the waist was a higher rise?

Im so sick of seeing muffin top I could SCREAM!! How do you put your damn pants on, look in the mirror and SEE muffin top and think... "oh damn, I look good TOnite!" neutral

Yeah, horrible!

But I do think it's because of how modern jeans are cut. Back in the 80s jeans would go half-way over the belly. Now, they are meant to cover the hips only.

I do prefer the look of the modern jeans, but only of your body is equiped for it, meaning long enough legs, not fat belly and a nice walk.

I totally agree Dave... I like todays cut, but so many women are trying to wear low rise jeans made for certain body types, or women are wearing Juniors and trying to stuff their "mature" figure into something made for a teenager with no shape... barf

About a year ago I decided to get ruthless and give all the clothes that didn't fit me to charity.

I've just lost 14lbs and none of my jeans fit me at all. I brought a pair of skinny jeans about 6 weeks ago and even they're baggy now.

On the plus-side, it does mean I get to go clothes shopping woot! and i'm going to get rid of all the clothes that are too big for me.

its actually hard to find jeans with the right cut eliminating the muff ~ and i am not that fond of mine ~ hence long shirts ~ boob tubes and jeans r no longer a good look!!!

but boob tubes and shorts ~ well thats ok cool

how come they dont make jeans like shorts???

i find the waist on shorts more appealing and comfortable

Exactly. Jeans came up to the waist in the 80s. It wasn't until low-rise jeans became popular that you saw women developing Dunlop's disease.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

ok. here's what i deleted: first, i offered my opinion on tight pants and the way they highlight that ugly cameltoe effect. tacky. people, please don't wear tight pants. i guarantee you, in most cases no one wants to see your junk that badly.

then, i went on to explain i'd been wearing the same clothes since high school, since they still fit even though i'm way older than that now. and no, i never buy tight pants because they're uncomfortable, and they look stupid, and they ARE stupid if i'm playing a 'one day i'll fit into these' game. imo that's never a good idea.

then, reading my post, i realized it sounded like i was first chastizing then boasting so i deleted my post. but, it's here again now. shrug
