So my laptop has now achieved P.O.S status...

Should I get a new laptop or an ipad??

I dont do much of anything on the computer other than Org, FB, Youtube, Email etc...

I do use Itunes ALOT..

The only drawback of someone like me getting an Ipad is you cant import cd's to it...

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions?

I dont want to spend over 400.00 TOPS myself... No need to for what i use a computer for...

I'm starting to be persuaded towards tablet PCs, and obvously iPad would be the obvious choice.

That retina display is..... amazing

HOWEVER, the storage on those things is appalling to me. That's my only beef with them being primary PCs.

I only a crap load of music and I do a lot of content creation (web page design, videos, etc.), so I could never be happy with a tablet as a primary device today. (In 5 year's time, it won't matter).

But if all you do is what you described above, I think owning one of those things would be a joy.

ya... im leaning heavy towards the pad... My husband has one.. He LOVES it.. We call it his maxipad... But its not the newest one...

and they are way more portable...

Call me old-school/naive/stoopid...but I'm having a hard time with the concept of a tablet as my main "computer".

Also...I'm being drawn towards QVC.com - not that they offer the latest-&-greatest - but they offer installment payment plans.

A tablet seems great, but not as my only computer. I would need stuff like Word and Excel, and I would definitely need to plug in a keyboard (which I suppose you could do with an iPad).

But the iMac Nano looks pretty badass!

They do make keyboards to go along with them...

I would be used to a key board as well... But another main attraction for me is they dont take up hardly any space, and I can take it anywhere without it being in the way.

My husband bought this stick thing, a stylus? to use with this..im a quick typer but i am all over the keyboard instead of staying on the home keys, so I think using the stick would work for me...

yeah the space thing is a big issue. I recently flew with my laptop for the first time and I was surprised that it's really too big for those seats.

I was almost not able to get the screen high enough to watch my movie. And that is all I wanted to do, in that situation I was not interested in a keyboard.

Actually, in the States (not sure where you are), polycystic ovary syndrome is more commonly known as PCOS.
