Jaleel White’s Ex: He Beat Me and Cheated

Jaleel White won the hearts of America in his geeky neighbor role as Steve Urkel in the ’90s sitcom Family Matters and is now charming audiences and judges alike on this season’s Dancing with the Stars. However, his ex-girlfriend Bridget Hardy, who is also the mother of his 2-year-old daughter Samaya, is casting an unfavorable light on the star, claiming he’s an abusive cheater.

According to Radaronline.com, Hardy revealed: “He blew up.” She went on to describe a fight the couple had a couple years ago after she confronted Jaleel about evidence of cheating she found on his phone.

“He hit me across the chest area,” she added.

Bridget claimed Jaleel followed her into the bathroom. “He pushed me into the toilet, and it broke. Water went everywhere, through the walls and even to the kitchen downstairs,” she said.

Jaleel, 35, denied any wrongdoing and has never been charged.

Bridget claimed that this wasn’t the first time Jaleel lashed out. “Verbally and emotionally, he’s abusive. He told me I’m not working; I have no money; I’m white trash. None of it was true,” she said.

According to another Radaronline.com report, Bridget claims that when she became pregnant, he tried to keep it a secret to preserve his ‘playboy image.’

Jaleel allegedly tried to pay her off after the birth of their daughter because their relationship was so rocky. “He texted me and offered me $200,000 to leave our daughter with him and have me go and start my own family,” Bridget told Star.

Bridget revealed that she planned a trip to Seattle with her daughter and when she returned, she was locked out of their house. Her belongings were in storage.

Regardless, Bridget believes Jaleel is a good father. “He loves her [Samaya] to death and is a good financial provider,” she said.

Bridget went on to mention red flags in the couple’s relationship, which lasted for about three years. She said warning signs included photos of naked women that were found on Jaleel’s phone.

These claims leave one to wonder, did he really do that?

In 2010, after some abuse allegations surfaced, Jaleel’s rep was quoted in TMZ by claiming: “This is just a ploy in an ongoing custody battle over their young daughter to tarnish his name.”

I don't believe ole' girl, I think it's all a ploy to get full custody of their child.

on paper, they did not even try to

establish my rate of income to be had.

After an ex-girlfriend slammed “DWTS” contestant Jaleel White with multiple allegations, including abuse earlier this week, the actor told his side of the story to People magazine, stating that the claims are retribution from a child-custody dispute with the mother of his child.

“When you’re doing well in life, it’s par for the course certain individuals will try and knock you down,” the actor said in a statement. “When the individual is also the mother of your only child it is particularly hurtful.”

His ex, Bridget Hardy, said in an interview with Star magazine that White both verbally and physically abused her in 2010, telling the tabloid that he “hit me across the chest area” and “pushed me into toilet.”

The “Family Matters” star rebutted that those allegations were made in a “malicious police report” that were filed due to the former couple’s custody dispute over their daughter. In fact, he says, he was never questioned by the police nor were charges ever filed.

“As much as I would love to go detail for detail refuting Ms. Hardy’s claims about the specifics of what was our relationship, the family court judge made it very clear to me any public discussion of our case and ordeal would be held against me in a court of law,” he said before adding, “The allegations made against me back in 2010 have suspiciously resurfaced in time to coincide with my new show on Syfy and ‘Dancing With The Stars.’ Bridget Hardy has consistently shown a knack for timing throughout our child custody disputes.”
