It was the spin-off of Buffy, i have not watched the seasons in years. But i was re-watching some episodes today and forget what a fantastic show it was!

In many ways i think i sort of liked it more then Buffy

I mean right from episode 1 we know Angel, Buffy had a bit of a slow start, Angel from episode 1 is exciting and a lot more dark then Buffy... well until season 6 of Buffy of course!, but the main story-lines that gelled all the way to season 4[Which is in my top 10 TV seasons of all time] is brilliant. Joss Whedon & his writers know how to really get a story rolling and how to get each character to play off each other flawlessly.

Oh & the theme song kicks ass

I absolutely hate what they did to Cordelia, though.

Yes, never watched Buffy so I couldn't make a comparison, but it was a pretty good show. David is great in Bones too. I'm sure The Avengers will be great.

I was going to say the same thing...

I disliked it at first to... but after re-watching the series a few times. It sort of makes sense to me, kind of like in season 5 when they go to find Buffy, and they end up not even showing her. I & many fans hated that episode, but it all made sense in the bigger scheme of thing's, hell SMG even told Joss she would do an ep and he declined.

I Won't lie when Cordy died in season 5... i was in 7th grade and i was majorly torn

She was on the first episode episode of Buffy through season 3, and on 4 seasons of Angel & 1 episode of season 5..

You just grew with her character a lot & to see her go off like that was sad, but at least she died a human death. Although i guess season 4 doesn't 100 percent count since she was all evilish

I have the first 4 seasons on DVD! Yes, I used to love this show. I preferred it more over Buffy, too. Angel was more of an adult show.

Seems like they didn't want any women on the show they even technically killed of Fred. Granted the actress still got to work but the character was gone. There was Harmony but she doesn't count for me, she had issues lots of issues.

Has anyone read this? I haven't, just found out about it and I don't know if I can backtrack into the series again, it's been a while, but if it's a good read, maybe.

I have the entire story arc, but have only read the first few issues. The story is good so far, but the art isn't of the same quality as the Buffy season eight series. After it ends, Angel teams up with Faith in a new series.

Angel was an awesome show.

There were very campy episodes, but overall it was solid.

...and I had the huge-est damned crush on Charisma Carpenter.

Man, that TV show must've been a loonnng time ago, because I don't remember it,
& the range of my memory is pretty goddamn extensive.

Josh Whedon always kills off characters in the series finale. Anya died in Buffy (thought Faith was gonna die), Wesley died in the last Angel, and Wash & The preacher died in Firefly.

I didn't realize there were more. From what I understand 'After the Fall' is suppose to pick up where the 5th season left off, so it's more like the 6th season. The Senior Partners are so angry that they end up sending the entire city of LA to hell, I had to laugh at that one, but from what I've gathered so far it's a little nutty, in that realm Wesley and Cordelia exist is some form or other, well the whole team changed in some ways. I read the synopsis and it's sounds a little too crazy for me to get into.

I ended up getting into Angel because it sydicated in the morning when I was getting ready for work, I somehow got into it kind of by accident then I started liking it and became a faithful watcher every morning, I think they looped it about 10 times and I watched it everytime.

I know the show, but have not watched it yet!!

I give props to a show that was able to do this, and get away with it.

That was a funny episode. Angel, the dark and bruting puppet, he was not amused. I think that's part of what made the show enjoyable to watch, it had a decent sense of humor about it.

A couple of funnier moments

Wesley for me is the perfect exmple of character development in a TV Show. He started out as a nerdy watcher, by the books and tight as hell. He started Angel as a guy trying to be tough & demon fighter but he was a fairy really

He grew to be a badass fighter, aggresive & a leader. He really changed from Buffy to the final season of Angel.
