I just got hold of a cool app that hides all your desktop shortcuts when you double click, and double click again to make them re-appear. So now my desktop is super clean

I'm trying to post an image (gif) of my desktop.. but I keep getting an error..

is there a size limit

(this image is 255 kb)

or am I doing something (else) wrong??

What OS are you using? I thought it was going to be hard to post mine, but it turned out to be pretty easy.....

press FN and print screen (it should be labeled as PRTSC on your keyboard) at the same time. Then open up either photoshop or Microsoft paint and paste the image.

Then save your image in a JPEG file, go to the website ImageShack and upload your saved image.

After that, your desktop image should come up. right click it on your mouse and click on View Image. Once you've done that, copy the url of the image and then post it here.

I just used snipping tool [win7. Hopefully Vista has it too], captured my full screen & saved it in my photos, then uploaded it to photobucket. That's how I got mine up.

My old desktop comp has Vista and I'd just push the printscreen (PrntScr) button and then open Paint and paste the image into there and save it then upload it to ImageShack or Photobucket.

About Vista in general - Honestly? When I was using that OS I had no issues with it whatsoever and never understood the hate for it; I actually loved it. It wasn't until later when I was on Windows 7, then went back to Vista briefly that I understood why people bitch about it.

I am just a sentimental type. Its Christchurch, before the quakes (About 1975). The cathedral is now being demolished, the tower completely collapsed.

I uploaded mine into flickr - the original image is a gif. file..

I then tried to copy/paste the image into this response field.. but nothing..!

i'm going thru a vermeers phase right now. just finished my van gogh phase.
