Pampered Chef parties

Anyone been to one before? I just got home from one today, it was pretty fun, they have some things, but some of that stuff you can get cheaper at Bed Bath & Beyond or Target. lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I hate any party-based selling schemes (Pampered Chef, Silpada, etc) - and I hate when my friends invite me to that stuff. You really wanna be my friend? Don't put me in situations in which I'm pressured to buy crap I don't need. disbelief

Fortunately, the last few times I've been invited, it's been to homes with cats. (My Silpada-selling friend has five.) I'm extremely allergic, so I have a legit reason to decline. whew

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Lucky you for the fortunate excuse to decline. lol

For me, the part that irritates me the most is at the end where they not only try to get you to host a party at your house but nearly try to force you to become a consultant and sell the mess yourself. Umm nope. When I say no, not interested, one time, I mean just that. The talking around abouts gets on my nerves to the point where I'm just like "didn't I just say NO!!!!!?"

To me, Pampered Chef has a few things that I find useful, but most of that stuff, like the simple stuff, graters, knives, can openers, you can find literally anywhere else at a lower price. But those other parties like Silpada as you mentioned, Cookie Lee, Dove Chocolatiers, even Avon and Mary Kay, I avoid like the plague. None of that mess has any value to me whatsoever. At least with some of the items with Pampered Chef I can use with other things I already have. But expensive, worthless jewelry and cheap makeup priced sky high that will do nothing but break my skin out, they can have it.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Been to one, never going again. Over-priced but I find most of those types of parties are over-priced stuff.

I use my Pampered Chef garlic press ALL OF THE TIME. I'm also a fan of their bamboo cooking utensils and their measuring spoons. I have to agree that they are overpriced but they also come with an unlimited warranty.

Never been to one of those parties, but I've purchased their stuff. There are a few small shops around here that have pretty good quality kitchen products for less. Besides I don't have that many places to store all this stuff. I tend to keep the purchase parties limited to people I know pretty well.
