Far be it for me (but here I go) to say, since I tend to find laughter in just about everything. Perhaps youre trying to inject a bit of humor (I hope) to cheer her up but its coming off as LAME.

I'm so sad to hear that it happened, that you had to see it, etc. But I'm so grateful your son wasn't there to see it.

Take care of yourself, Erin. And by all means consider talking to a professional about it. That sort of thing is something you'll never forget.

Most people on here already gave you sound advice on how to deal with it. Make sure you talk to a professional. Make sure you get even more hugs. This is something that burns itself on your retina for the rest of your life and you need to give it a place.

I once witnessed someone dieing and it helped me immensely to visit that person's burial. It put things into perspective and made it easier to handle the experience.

For now, all my love to you, hun.

I understand where you stand Erin, I once saw a 8 year old girl die in the roadway. Try prying all the blood and the lifeless body from your brain. People just don't know, real death is nothing but every shade of ugly. Movies make it look cool. Death is awful.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

When I was 12 yrs old me and a friend were walking to the corner store in Detroit and we saw this guy trying to cross the street and he got hit by a car and dragged down the street-very traumatic. I feel for u Erin-it will take a while to get over seeing such a terrible thing.

please go and talk to someone about the trauma you have experienced and go soon promise? If you start to have nightmares or unreasonable fears about going out make sure you tell the counselor/doctor/ professional.

go quickly.

Death is a very mysterious thing. We don't at all understand it. We pretend it doesn't exist. Today, it drew back its shroud and revealed itself to you.

Honey, I hope you don't get PTSD from it. I did once.

Talk about it and get it all out.

May god bless everyone that seen, or was involved in such a terrible thing.

I've seen 3 violent deaths in my life. When i was 9 years old i saw a baby fall out of a 6 story window. Im still traumatized by it. It does help to talk about it. God bless.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.
