Anyone ever try a Ouija board?

Just curious if anyone's actually experienced some ill shit while doing it. And if you were high or drunk at the time, it doesn't count.

I've played it quite a few times...

Whether sober, drunk, or stoned...something always seemed to happen, and the usual questioning of who is moving the pointer.

I think it's a ton of fun, and sets a mood for a spooky night for all.

A friend of mine, after becoming religious...burned the board, as she felt it was possessed or something, lol...

So I watched as she put it into a fire, and when it was almost completely burned...a whistling sound and green flames were the last thing I heard/saw of the board...

shake

I'd play it again... biggrin It's fun!

I was always curious, but I think a lot of it is just psychological.

Ouija boards are funny... as there is no spiritual world to tap into, they are harmless.

A few friends and I tried it once. Believe it or not, we were told by "it" that there was a spirit guarding the house that we were in. I forget the female spirit's name which supposedly spoke to us that day. In any case, "questions" were answered to which only some of us could possibly know the answers. The marker moved and of course as it did, we all blamed each other for moving it too hard or towards the answer.

That was the first and only time I played with that shit.

We did it with a group of friends once, about 14 years ago
now. We had set the whole thing up and placed a glass on
the board. Just a regular crystal drinking glass. And all
of a sudden the thing kind of exploded, it just gave a bit
of noise and fell apart into about 50 small pieces [like
safety glass windows do].

It happened when we'd been busy for about 10 minutes and
our friend's mother came into the room to ask what we were
doing.

Scary shit. Never ever did that again after that experience.

We played it for years when I was little. My mom, aunts, sisters, and close friends would always gather at our house to play. But we never had an actual store bought board. You don't need one. We used our large, round dining room table and paper cards with letters. You just write one letter of the alphabet on each card, and place them all around the circumference of the table, and also draw a couple with the words "yes", "no", and "maybe" etc. The you can use any flat, disk-like object for the planchette.

We had a lot of fun with it, although there were many weird and scary moments as well. I was never afraid of it in a way that made me feel like it was evil or anything.

Im a true believer in ghosts and spirits and paranormal etc...

So theres no way I would tamper with a Ouija board unless I was with sum1 who absolutely knew what the fuck they were doing.

Ive heard too many nasty stories about them...

Yes, I've used a ouija board before and will not do so again. Last time I did was with a girl that I used to know. We really kind of made our own using paper and a casette case as the planchette. I don't know who it was coming through, but whoever or whatever it was was really foul! Cursed up a storm and the "planchette" was moving around like crazy!

That was enough for me.

yep! When I was really young one of our school friends died in a car crash, so on halloween of that year, we took the ouija board up to the cemetary and placed it on his grave and tried to contact him...Nothing happened! Now I'm not saying that there is or isn't a spirit world, I actually think that there is or could be anyway, but I've never had any experiences with a ouija that was any thing but stupid! LOL! Some one said to try it by yourself...that's a good Idea cause whenever we would try it alone...low and behold nothing would happen...then someone would say...oh no you need to have the connect of atleast 2 peoople for it to work! BOLOGNA! it says Parker Bros. on the back for cryin out loud! it's a game.
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

You just start by having at least two people lightly place the tips of their fingers on the planchette. Don't put too much pressure on it, or push it yourself. Just ask questions, for example to start, you can ask, "What is your name?" or "Is there anyone here?". But unless you do it a lot, it's going to take a while for it to move at all. Usually, you will have to sit there and repeatedly ask these questions for about 15 minutes before anything happens.

Then gradually, you might feel the planchette start to slide towards a letter to start spelling something. You have to be very patient though, and most people get frustrated and quit before much of anything real happens.

The more you try, and spend time with it, the easier and faster the responses will be. We used to have to have someone sit there with a pen and pad of paper to write everything down, because it would be flying back and forth so fast spelling things!

You really do need at least two people though, because it's not supposed to work at all with only one person. But my aunt used to do it alone, and she could make it move all by herself. She didn't even need to touch the thing at all. I don't know if that was super concentration, mind power, or what, but it was freaky! lol

A bunch of us played with a ouija board once and it was funny as hell. I musta been around 12 or so.
A couple of people were really scarred from it, but I was conviced that someone was moving the thing. Everyone was asking questions like who are you? when did you die? shit like that. So it came to my turn and I sked it if it thought my sister was ugly and I made it point to yes (remember I was 12).

You don't have to believe in something for it to exist. Most people have never been to the moon but you know it has to exist you can see it. Yet there are people that don't believe we have traveled to the moon yet. Just an example. Just because you can not see another world that you can not see doesn't mean it does not exist. Those boards can attract some spirits that you can not control. I would never even touch one let alone try to use one. There are some things you can't explain away by labeling in mental or just something to do with the world. I believe there are some people that are more in tune or sensitive to the world around them.
Growing up being influenced by Native American beliefs that the Spirit world is just as real as this world. And no they are not crazy or high when they have visions or encounters with the spirit world.
sorry if that was over your head...jump up and try to catch the point next time.
