No. However American citizens would need to present at the port of entry legal documentation that certifies his/her nationality, such as a birth certificate, voter registration or an affidavit by a public notary. To enter the Dominican Republic a $10 tourist card will be required. It can be purchased at any Dominican Consulate or at the airport upon arrival. On the other hand, if an American Citizen does have an updated passport he/she has the option of purchasing the tourist card as noted above or can apply for a ten year visa. Your travel agent should be able to tell you this too. | |
