Have you ever been on a chat program and you get online and NO ONE gets on? That's always been my issue with Skype. I just reactivated my Skype because a few of my aunts contacted me to add them to their contacts. Does Skype always do this to you too?

No one gets on anyway. Besides my aunts only contact me (via e-mail) during MORNING hours so they may accept. I don't get up in the morning anyway. So I might accept but if no one in your contacts get on, what's the point of having one?

I see... I almost never log on. I have to make sure the shit is not automatically starting when I turn on my computer (I think I have it disabled lol). Skype just seems like it's just asking for your privacy to be invaded...

I can see why you would say that. This would be the "future phone". Instead of calling someone on the actual phone, you get on the TV and then hit the number you wanna dial and you're automatically saying hi with a virtual webcam.

We only skype with my sis in florida....we call her during family parties and tell her to get on the laptop and open skype.

Are there other ways to use it? You can call directly on skype? But they have to be already on the computer?

I leave mine on when I'm home in case my friend calls. We've actually stopped talking on the phone.

I wanted to get Skype on my phone, but according to the website, only Verizon offers that service right now.

There is a call option, where you can use Skype to call a phone number...

i have it, but have never used it once.

it's very quick and even sends the artwork you have attached in your itunes.
