HARD OR SOFT

Do you prefer sleeping on a hard mattress, the kind that feels like your sleeping on cement, or do you like'em soft, the ones that are so soft that you feel like your sleeping on clouds? I for one like'em soft.

I like them harder, when I sleep somewhere too soft for too long, it hurts my neck. I've always enjoyed sleeping on the floor too biggrin

when i was a kid, i used to like hard mattresses and sleeping on the floor...

but if i don't sleep on a soft mattress now, my back, neck, and shoulders all freak the hell out... my chiropracter tells me that a firm mattress may not be a bad thing for me, but it hurts too damn much... sigh... too much manual labor at too early of an age...

I currently have a hard, firm mattress. But I like to sleep on soft, plushy mattresses from time to time.

my best friend's dad is a chiropractor... in october, my neck went sideways and was laying on my shoulder... couldn't move my head, couldn't turn anything, couldn't do anything...

so, i had to break down and let him check me out and see what was up... disbelief... he said he could't figure out how i got like that... pinched nerve, muscle spams, vertabrae un-alighned... i told him i'd been having muscle spams in my shoulder since i was 16... so, he told me that starting the heavy manual labor at a really young age and just not taking care of my body had caused it... he said my body just finally had too much... took a lot of therapy to get that straightened out... it's not perfect, but it's good enough that i'm happy with it...

the funny thing is that what triggered it was just stretching while i was waking up... nod......

We've got a mattress that has a soft pillow top, but underneath it, it's firm and supportive. We're quite pleased with it.

Firm. I'm afraid I have nothing to gain by sleeping on a soft mattress, it would most likely end up giving me a bad back.

I have a couple of wimpy ass pillows that are either wearing out, or are too soft to begin with and sometimes I wake up with my neck absolutely killing me, and a migraine.

I like mushy mattresses, but they say sleeping on a hard mattress is better for your back.. If my back is bothering me then i would choose the hard one!

Ditto.

I also tend to sit on the floor, when relaxing in front of the tv, with my back resting on the sofa, rather than sitting on the thing as you're supposed to! duh
