I have somehow wound up having to make a bread pudding -- from scratch -- for dinner with our neighbors. I'm terrified. shake

I'm going to think of something, I always spend my Christmas not celebrating because it does something to my mom when Christmas hits. Anyway this year she works and I'm just going to be home but this time I will be by myself doing nothing. I plan to bake cookies and wrap them or decorate them... them from there I got nothing.

sigh I guess I got to get use to it because when I move away I won't be able to make it home some Christmases

And I feel guilty for cancelling my family this year.

I overheard a girl who said she was going to do volunteer work over Christmas, because she didn't want to be all alone. I thought that was actually a pretty clever solution.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I'll be spending it with my mother's side first and then in the evening with my dad's side. Needless to say I'll be busy and will most likely be sleeping in the day after Christmas. My dad's side has usually has alcohol for months... nod

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Actually, I DID mention coquito... its a staple in my crib on Christmas.

And yes, pernil is a pork picnic... a cut of meat not generally made by American counterparts. Its delish... I do make a spiral cut ham... but I will not pay 50 bucks for a cut of meat this Christmas.

Christmas eve will most likely be the pork shoulder (roasted) with the rice w/ gandules (its a n easy and inexpensive meal) biggrin

That looks and sounds seriously amazing!

Oh that I wish I was in your families...

I think I must in withdrawal for home cooking. Since I've been in Argentina, unless I'm eating steak or empanadas, I've had a hard time finding really good food!

This will be my first Christmas ever to be away from family. Luckily I have 2 friends coming to visit, but I have absolutely no idea what we will be doing. I think this entire city shuts down. sad

Any argentinean orgers want to adopt 3 girls for Christmas??

hug

You are in Argentina? Or from there?

Some of the best times I've had was with a few friends and no plans...

hug I hope you have an awesome time with your friends. mushy

You never know...
