If you could be a character in a movie... ...who would it be - and why? I'm not talking about who you'd love to play (as in acting). I mean who would you want to be in real life.
I have always wanted to be Nora Charles (The Thin Man) because:
A. neverending cocktails B. wealthy C. handsome, intelligent husband who excels at witty banter D. fabulous wardrobe E. despite having all of the above, still down-to-earth
Looking at that list, I think johnart would probably want to be Nora Charles, too. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I love their movies, too! I espescially liked Asta.

After the Thin Man was on my local public television station yesterday afternoon. There's a scene in that where the Charleses return home to California and Asta sees that Mrs. Asta has had puppies. They all look like him - 'til an all-black terrier pup comes out of the doghouse. Just then, the black Scotty from next door sticks his head under the fence, whereupon Asta runs over and fills in the hole under the fence.
I thought, "Oh, sure - blame the black dog!" We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Only for a short while, but I'd like to be Damiel. So beautifully tragic and well dressed

Did you see the remake with Nicolas Cage

James Bond- the Sean Connery years. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I did. And I liked it - until I saw Wings of Desire.
I was likewise disgusted by No Reservations with Catherine Zeta-Jones. The German film it's based on - Mostly Martha - is about a zillion times better. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

And can tap dance on sand. Don't forget that part. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

^ for a "extreme/imperfect" real life, kind of "world gone to shit" scenario
and for REAL, "happy" life
^ a top FBI agent who can get things done, intelligent, and grumpy, but fair and secretly charming...

Lara Croft - Tomb Raider
1. She's sexy 2. She's intelligent 3. She's wealthy 4. She's skilled in martial arts and the use of various hi-tech weapons 5. She travels the world's ruins in search of ancient and powerful artifacts 6. She beats up sexy bad guys and occasionally uses her pussy power to subdue them 7. She doesn't grow old
I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!
RIP Dick Clark, Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Heavy D, and Donna Summer.

I like the one where Asta pulls Nora so hard, she lands on her face while trying to get to Nick. Oh and also the scene where Nick is playing with the pop gun Nora gave him for Christmas and Asta is trying to catch the balloons.

Alright...I had to give this some thought.
I can't decide between these two;
and
Bruce Wayne/Batman because;
Korben Dallas (The Fifth Element for you non-fans) because;
By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Is there a character with less issues than me that lives in a nice warm climate (without insects!) that has a great job she loves to do that pays well enough to travel as much as she likes. Has a nice inner city apartment walking distance to everything, lots of friends that often hang out together. That has a lot of fun?

peek @ plot: http://movies.yahoo.com/m...19746/info If love is an adventure, it's one yet to be embarked upon by Kenya Denise McQueen(Sanaa Lathan). A beautiful L.A. career woman, Kenya works as senior manager at a prestigious accounting firm, and is on the verge of making partner.
the character has wonderful supportive friends. she is very intelligent with great parents. only one catch-plot, she falls in love with a man outside of her race. however, imo the strength of this character reflects a successful new partner attorney choosing her freedom to live life in a way that's best for her. (you'll have to see it. i enjoyed.) “Transracial is a term that has long since been defined as the adoption of a child that is of a different race than the adoptive parents,” : https://thinkprogress.org...fb6e18544a
