Anyone A Fan Of The Halloween Movies?

Anyone a fan of the halloween movie series? TIS THE SEASON=] The original of course, is an independent classic. Costing 300,00 to make & eventually grossed 70 million in 1978. It is still a classic study in horror, very little blood, good acting, fantastic directing from Carpenter. Part 2 from 1981, the classic Michael in a hospital story[strangely a VERY empty hospital], This time there is a bit more gore... but it is really not that gruesome to me. Now the black sheep Halloween 3, great soundtrack meh movie. And it's not even cause MM is not in it, there is just a lot of plot-holes. But it's still a fun movie. Halloween 4&5 are great imo, flawed but decently good movies! this time about Michael chasing his niece, Jamie Loyd. Number 5 they introduced a whole psychic connection plot-line which is very hit or miss and introduced the man in black. This is where the story got over complicated... And then we got Halloween 6, there is a producers cut, cause this film had LOTS of issues. And the film is a mess, to think the original Halloween was such a simple story, now there is evil cults and druids. Halloween H2O To me is ok, not a great film but not bad. Good to see Jamie Lee Curtis back, but the film ignores 4-6... understandable i guess. But they ignore Laurie having a daughter, or anything of that matter. The ending would have been a perfect way to end the series but.... Low and behold cash was calling, and Resurrection was made. I love Busta Rhymes but he needed to........ just not be in here lol or Tyra Banks. Good lord was this the MTV Version of Halloween? what a damn mess this movie was. As a huge Rob Zombie fan.. i was curious as to what he would do with the halloween franchise. And i liked it, they didn't have to do the whole redneck parents crap... but it was brutal, dark and i liked it. Now... Halloween 2 was a DAMN DAMN DAMN mess!, i got what Zombie was trying to do. But it was done 100 miles in the wrong direction with the white horse deal....... And also might add Donald Pleasence in the original series was the glue that held half the movies together! R.I.P

Fan of the Original Halloween, Halloween 2 and H20. Halloween 3 was a good effort that really didnt work. They should have given it a different title so people don`t look for Michael Myers in it. Part 4 and 5 bothered me because the mask didnt look right and the story lines were terrible. Part 6 was just ok because of Donalds Pleasence last performance. They did add too much to it though with there cult stuff. Resurrection was fine the first 15 mins when Jamie Lee Curtis on screen. After that it was plain lame. Rob Zombie wanted a T&A profanity Halloween. I hated it and the new look Michael Myers. Didnt even bother to watch his Part 2.

I heard there is a New HALLOWEEN 3D coming out but I don`t nothing about yet.

I love most of the "Halloween" movies. The first one is my favorite horror movie of all time. The second one is OK but I also noticed that the hospital was empty. I didn't even finish watching the third one. It shouldn't have even been called "Halloween" since Michael Myers wasn't in it. I liked all the ones that followed that brought Michael Myers back. No, they weren't as good as the first "Halloween" but still enjoyable movies. I also liked the one that brought Jamie Lee Curtis back because the others just felt like there was a void without her.

As for "The Resurrection", I thought that one was stupid as hell. With the internet and cell phone age, it's not near as scary if someone can communicate by cell phone and tell the victim that Michael Myers is outside the door. I also wanted to see Busta Rhymes get killed. I was rooting for Michael Myers in this one. As for the Tyra Banks character, I wish they would have cast Shitney Houston for that role because I would have loved watching Michael Myers kill her ass. evillol

As for the Rob Zombie remake of the first "Halloween", I usually hate remakes and find them pointless but I was dying to see this one when I heard that the first half of it was going to be about Michael Myers' childhood and how he evolved into being a killer. I loved the story line and found it very interesting. The first part of the movie would have been great if it was about someone else other than Michael Myers because it didn't match the original Michael Myers character. The original Michael Myers didn't have redneck parents. He came from a middle class family that lived in a middle class neighborhood. The white trash in that movie could never have afforded to live in the house they were living in. And the Kiss T shirt was all wrong. The original Michael Myers committed his first murder by killing his sister in the 1960s. Kiss was not around in the 1960s. Like I said before, I loved the first part of the movie if it would have been about somebody other than Michael Myers. However, when the second half began when the "remake" part of the original started, like typical remakes these days, I hated it. The Laurie character was an immature little slut, totally unlike the original Laurie. Hell, I was hoping Michael Myers would have ended up killing her ass. lol

I didn't even bother watching the second remake. I'd like to see another "Halloween" continuing on with the original series but I hate remakes.
