The Nick & Artie Show is new and never had anything to do with SIRIUS. You can listen to it at nickandartie.com.
Artie is one of the fastest wits in the West and I loved him on the show (when he was all there, that is). But (of course) he has a very strong self-destructive streak and I totally understand why they had to cut him loose.

that was a funny line ...
but on a more personal level ... as I look at Artie ... i cant help but think - this guy still needs some serious help . He looked nervous and I dont think it was a great appearance .
I hope he is getting help and serious this time ! I wish he would drop some pounds too ... when I see him in that ELF movie , he looks so different ... Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

Agree: Not great. And why ignore the Stern-Show-branded elephant in the room? Bizarre.
I don't know if you've been a loyal listener over the past few years, but Artie was busted multiple times claiming he was sober and/or getting help.
Here's the problem with Mr. Lange, in a nutshell:
1. Believes his salvation lies in a wife and children. 2. Romanticizes these things and thinks that, without them, his life is a failure. 3. Hates himself and wants to die.
If he were smarter, he'd look at his good friend Norm (who sees through nos. 1 & 2), take a page from his book and chill the fuck out.
To quote one of his favorite movies, "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."

- you have a good way with words ACE . I agree.
Do you think the show is lagging some since Artie is not on ?
I am not sure what to think ... I still luv it every damn time Fred says something ... even when he is imitating Benji or something small like that ... JD ... etc .... he cracks me up .
Never been a big Robin fan. I like Benji , I loved his Craigslist dating stories ... i am laughin just typing this ...
A buddy of mine who discusses Howard alot .... he really misses Artie .... i am not in that camp. (although I am rooting for him ... and a fun return ).
On Artie topic ... i forget the story exactly ... but he told a story once .... he was in some costume ... was it a snowman costume .... where he had to buy drugs ... or had drugs ... i forget the whole story .... but i was crying as i was driving ... as Artie told it ... it was one of those bizarre stories .... did he shit in the costume ? I forget .... i swear as I get older .... Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

I thought it would, but I think I like it better than ever.
Me, too! OMG, I love his Benjy and JD impressions!
I've come to have respect for what Robin brings to the show. She's nuts, but very perceptive about other people. Benjy obviously writes Howard some great one-liners, but I don't think he can deliver a joke to save his life. I dunno; he gets on my tits. Admire his balls w/his public stunts, though ('Governor Weiner! Were you fully erect or are you capable of more?! Will you still maintain your hot, hairless physique?!' ).
Don't know if you caught the show the other day, but Howard said it's unlikely he'll even have Artie in for an interview.
MAD TV. In pig prosthetics. Shit the bed (literally) in a motel, IIRC.

I finally saw the movie last night. LOVED IT. As a baseball fan, it was fun seeing players on screen that I remembered from that time whether they were in major starring roles like ex-Yankee David Justice, or brief non-speaking cameos like ex-Yankee Jason Grimsley.
