I agree with the folks who say life is too short.

You've got to grab the bull by the balls! nod

I know that's hard for some females. Just be honest..."Hey...I've never really done this before, but do you want to grab a bite to eat?"

The worst he could say is no.

As for the age difference, not sure if it's an indicator of anything these days. Some of the lifelong couples/partners I know have 10-20 years of diff. between them. But of course, safety should rule.

Anyway, best of luck!

It's sooo hard to tell how old he is!!! Lol. He may just be in his late 20s , but he also looks like early 30s . lol Either way I don't care about age razz

He might though! lol

To those who say 'life's too short': which doesn't mean one should lower one's standards though and not go for the best that life has to offer...

As for age, some people never grow up, others feel 'old' at 20 because of their life experiences or blase attitude/take on life, so I really don't see how age difference in couples is such a big indicator for some people... rolleyes

And now that I'm done with the lecturing [ lol ], go and enjoy yourself InternationalLover! biggrin

Wait!! - He said he eats out a lot and mentioned a specific restaurant??.. That's a sign! excited

it's possible that his terms of employment prevent him from socializing with the people who stay in the hotels he manages. I would suggest you not put him in an the akward position of having to turn you down, and wait until you are no longer residing in his place of bidness

Hotel manager. Potential access to your home and knowledge of your schedule. That and the age difference are enough to suggest to me you shouldn't go down this road.

No no no, I didn't mean to try to drop by that place in hope of finding him there. I would just ask him about it [some innocuous question about how the food is like for ex], in hope that he might - I said 'might' - suggest you go there with him [for lunch/light meal for ex].

I guess that's harmless enough [to respond to all those who are ringing alarm bells on this thread:].

In any case, I can't fathom why on earth he would mention a restaurant out of all places in a casual conversation with you, if he didn't have some lunch/supper invitations in mind down the road... hmmm

Or am I watching too many romantic movies?!.. rolleyes lol

So like...

I still live in a hotel and I go to the front desk to ask for mail and we've been here for almost a year (since last decemeber) anyway. There is this guy whos here every once in a while at the front desk and he's like really cute biggrin The reason he's not here all the time is cause he's actually the manager of multiple hotels. Anyway a few days ago I went down to get the mail and he liked my new hair - he said " Really like that new hair you look gorgeous" I was like excited and so like I don't know I've seen him alot and we've talked a few times and I like him, would it be weird if I asked him out?? I've never even asked anyone out, but then if he rejects me it will be awkward going to the front desk huh confused

STOP SAYING LIKE!

lol

Now to answer your question... lol

I wouldnt ask him out based on one comment just yet... Secondly, how old is he? Did you do a ring check? Are you sure he's straight?... Most straight men do not use the word gorgeous in talking about hair... Let alone use it as a pick up line.. lol

Hope you are joking!!

Anyhow, how old are you OP? You appear to be under 18 and as a result, anyone that is managing a hotel is more than likely significantly older than you.

You know what's commonly included in Cuban meals?

Bean dip.

If this guy's breath smells of beans, onions, peppers and garlic - stay away!

Try this;

"So what does a gal around here gotta do to be asked out?"

Then just raise ONE eyebrow. Look VERY serious.
