OK. Who has taken the leap and upgraded their iPhones, iTouch or iPad or all three? I'll wait for a minute to see what's what.

I'm not just saying this as an Apple fanboy, but has there every been a bad Apple OS upgrade in the last 12 years?

I'm upgrading as we speak. It's syncing now.

I did the right click back up; when I upgrade to iOS 5.0 will I lose apps and music? Having to load apps and music back manually....

imago, those who owned the iPod Touch 2g's bitterly complained that 4.2 updates made their devices paper weights.

it's downloading now. this better not fuck everything up.

You aren't going to lose any of your apps or music. It backs up everything you previously had on the phone before the update. Mine is taking a while restoring my apps, but nonetheless, they are going to be there.

My update finished last night. I see obvious changes like that "reminder" app but why is it separate from the calendar? Its does the same thing the calendar alerts do except on the reminder app you get to choose an exact time for the alert to go off. They should have included the reminder feature within the calendar app, that would had been more beneficial to me. Also after your phone updates, all the appointments you have in your calendar disappear...I was a bit pissed about that but it is kind of minor compared to a major disaster (like if none of my apps, music or videos loaded at all).

I was pleasantly surprised after the update to find that all of my apps were still in the folders I'd put them in.

back it all up before you take the plunge! My friend just lost ALL her contacts but luckily could retrieve them from last back-up

Yep, lost everthing and I backed up still nada, I'm pissed.

I thought my contacts were gone, but I was wrong. Can't remember what I did, but I got them back on my phone without having to retrieve them from the backup.

P.S. Just when I thought that I couldn't love my iPhone any more, iOS 5 comes along and proves me wrong.

they have a nice no questions asked returns policy which is nice

and they print receipts out of the bottom of TABLES!!!

I've bought stuff at the Apple Store. I guess I've just always taken the 'email-me-the-receipt' option.
