So like...

I still live in a hotel and I go to the front desk to ask for mail and we've been here for almost a year (since last decemeber) anyway. There is this guy whos here every once in a while at the front desk and he's like really cute The reason he's not here all the time is cause he's actually the manager of multiple hotels. Anyway a few days ago I went down to get the mail and he liked my new hair - he said " Really like that new hair you look gorgeous" I was like and so like I don't know I've seen him alot and we've talked a few times and I like him, would it be weird if I asked him out?? I've never even asked anyone out, but then if he rejects me it will be awkward going to the front desk huh

i think get to know him a bit more b4 u make that move, talk to him every time u see him and after a while if you still like him then ask him out, never know he might ask u first!!!

but in any case if it does not work out it does not need to be awkward as you can still stay friends

I wouldnt ask him out based on one comment just yet... Secondly, how old is he? Did you do a ring check? Are you sure he's straight?... Most straight men do not use the word gorgeous in talking about hair... Let alone use it as a pick up line..

There is no way I would make any move after one little compliment like that. I'd wait for at least a few more conversations to happen and a bit more personal info is exchanged.

He looks anywhere between 29 - 32 , it's very hard to tell . He always dresses so nice too, with suits and stuff

I think the whole point of waiting/talking a little more is to increase your chances he will say yes, so it has some logic I would think...

Questions might do the trick, people love to talk about themselves. Or to offer help/advice: pretend you can't decide on something [smth not too serious though:) and ask his opinion. If you can make him laugh about some silly situation you got yourself into, that might work too.

But I know, easier said than done:)..

I was just wondering...what about the age difference between you? Do you know how old he is yet? From my understanding you're still a high school aged minor (?), so it wouldn't be that cool of a thing to mess around with any old fogies, ya know

Of course, nothing like improvisation [in all things:)]

As for the age difference, not sure if it's an indicator of anything these days. Some of the lifelong couples/partners I know have 10-20 years of diff. between them. But of course, safety should rule.
