I'm home today due to the fact it flooded all weekend, then got cold last night, and froze roads. No snow. -------

me and applekisses are at home.
she was supposed to work today but she has a bit of the flu (sore throat, cold)  and called in early this morning for work.
AS luck would have it -- the huge winter storm was tracking our way into Detroit, but the weathertypes said we would get an inch or two at best, a little bit more down south near Toledo. But the snow missed Detroit completely, but is has been really cold. The wind was whipping at 20-30 mph -- and it was like 15- or 20- below wind chill. We finally received a dusting of snow -- kickback from the system -- as it inched up to the north last night. Nothing to write home about, really. The Midwest receives these types of storms every so often. We are used to it. | |
