[Re phrasing the question I'm asking]

I ask this, because ultimately, we all are [pretty much] sluts. Men congratulate each other for sleeping with a lot of Women, while Women are criticised for doing the exact same thing with Men. This never has & never will make sense to me......Why is it that Women are criticised for it, while Men brag about it?

Apparently there are many things wrong with it. Are those notions antiquated? Are the standards we STILL place upon ourselves even relevant? I mean we have birth control, condoms for STIs - all the old reasons for putting fear into our hearts to keep us nice aren't even there anymore!

But who put those fears & Judgments out there? Sex is awesome. If it wasn't, none of us would be here. STD's are the only buzzkill [the origins of some of those STD's is what I think about], along with being a un-wanted parent. If you practice safe sex & choose your partners wisely, you'll be okay. I've never caught an STD whatsoever. I even took an AIDS test a month ago [I passed it, got a C+], So anyone calling someone else a "slut" is being judgemental imo...

That's basically what I was saying And to answer your question - in all societies, whoever was laying down the law and rules for folks to live by, ie. Religious institutions It used to be in the best interests of a family that neither parent stray and abandon their responsibilities. There didn't used to be a single and carefree period for folks in the olden days, they'd fuck once and bingo they had a kid, providing the woman survived childbirth.

In my opinion, I find people who REALLY are sluts to be pretty foul.

Now I'm no monk (some of you obviously know this about me), and what some people would call a slut I would call free-spirited and think "more power to them", but true sluts definitely do have something wrong with them.

But I would only use the term for those who were so slutty they would qualify as sex-addicted and potentially self harming.

Does that make any sense? I'm quite tired.
