Now that´s some good news, congratulations.

But....don´t you think it will be too much of a change? Aren´t you used to working in the same environment? Or do you feel that this new location will probably even inspire you more?

Oh it's a HUGE change. But for the better, for a number of reasons. A few being...

-My home studio is limiting (size).

-A studio outside the home provides me a "professional" place of business. From home I was limited in how I could reach out to the public or other businesses. For example I couldn't invite interior design professionals to have an appt with me and say "Oh, can u call me 5 mins before you get here so I can put my dogs downstairs." Not to mention that true or not/better or worse a lot of folk tend to take artists who work from home less seriously (like it's a hobby) than those who have a "proper" place of business.

-Walk ins...being home I could reach out via internet but foot traffic is important.

-Solitude is all well and good and necessary at times, but too much of it can stifle creativity (IMO). It recharges your inspiration, being around other creative folk and working among them.

...there's more reasons I'm sure I'm leaving out.

Kind of like Prince at the Eden Prairie warehouse rehearsing with the Revolution compared to his later solitude at Paisley Park, which was pretty much like his home.

Seriously though, congratulations, I´m happy that you´re able to continue following your calling, your inspiration and talent, and that it is getting more and more serious and professional.

Mary is so fuckin great. I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. She already called me a bitch (because I sprayed stinky varnish spray so that the neighbor on the other side of her would think it was her spraying chems ). She came into my studio like YOUUUUUUUBITCH!
