I always take inspiration from things I see, hear and read. Just came across a thread by JustErin that would make a grrrreat song lyric, so I scribbled it down for future reference, as I do.

Then it struck me, what if you could write a song lyric that would cover where you've been or where you are or where you wanna go? Or all of it at the same time.

I've got loads of stuff that reflects how I felt at a certain time in life. Gloomy stuff, happy stuff, everything in between.

What would your song be about? Share your song! Write it, either be it a song title or a verse or a chorus or all.

Here's one of mine, written after finding strength again after some heartbreak.

I'm not usually one to take much notice of lyrics so mine will be the la la la la

from Frogs with Dirty Little Lips

that and the xylophone has summed it up pretty much ever since I was 15 and heard that song for the first time and my friend asked me if the circus came to town.

This song felt like it reperesented who I am as I was writing it. I kinda forgot what it meant though since I was high when I wrote and recorded it

Thanks, Art! It had a melody when I wrote it, but I forgot it. (grin)
And I wasn't even high. But it would totally sound different to the original (which was sort of an angry disco stomper). When I go over the lyrics now, they feel much more like something acoustic.

In the meantime I have been writing stuff for @JustErin's song lyric. It's coming along nicely.

Yeah your lyrics do feel quite acoustic but then again its about post-break up recovery which would be perfect to dance to

there r many songs that would sum up my life as i have had an unusual life, but right now at this point of time i can not say for sure what it would be ~ although i have always felt 'scandelous' and not that long ago b4 i made massive changes in my life, these words meant a lot 2 me... its a place i was in, but not anymore!!!!
