This picture is kinda blurry but for the most part you can see my septum, nostril and monroe.

However, 99.9% of the time my septum is flipped up and hidden in my nose so I look like this.

And I'm sure everyone knows what ear piercings look like.

Yes I think Sarah is adorable. She and JuliePurplehead remind me of each other even though there is a huge age difference. They both have this sweetness mixed with edginess going on that is endearing . There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Soooo ZombieKitten you've had a day now to think about how you will approach the Master about his
new piercing; so how do you plan on asking him? Seems this bit of metal might do the job better
than that piano fork, no?!?

Just kidding! I'm know i"m getting up there. I've never been called sweet and edgy before. Probably one of the best compliments I've had in a long time. It has made my day.

baby but it is on my list of things to do. You two would be so adorable together and her usual fair in
men is well....... not as good as you .
(You both have great curly hair, big brown eyes and sensual lips, if that is not a recipe for a lasting relationship what is? ) [Edited 9/29/11 14:08pm] There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

Go steal pics of her off of her facebook that show off her nose ring. She also has some tongue piercing pics that will add greatly to this thread.
If she bitches you out, which I hardly doubt, tell her I gave you permission. (Personally I think she looks like a long haired Betty Boop and she is needing to upgrade her men.) I've had many things pierced over the years, but removed most of them eventually. Had my tongue pierced for about a decade, but I bit down on it a few times and was paranoid about waking up and realizing I had chipped my teeth. Had my labret done and really loved that, but took it out for a while and let it grow out. I had my frenum pierced because eventually I wanted something more advanced done like a Prince Albert or something, but I never followed through on anything but the single tiny frenum hoop.
I've had lots of different piercings in my ears, but only kept a helix in my left ear and an inner conch in my right. Lobes were eventually stretchd to about 1/2" at one time around 8 years ago but now the holes are shrunk down and I could probably only fit about 2ga in them anymore.
My focus went onto other forms of bodyart when my desire to "maintain" my piercings went away. Got many more tattoos including a full sleeve on my left arm.
Never got any body modification done for specifically sexual purposes, nor would I, but I did have fun giving blowjobs with my tongue pierced. I never actually thought to ask if people preferred it or not though some guys did admit that it was better than they anticipated a pierced tongue would be. [Edited 9/29/11 14:58pm]

I use to work with someone who had a tongue ring (post) and took it out while we were working and put it in the draw beneath the register of all places.
That is what got me started thinking about this tongue ring thing. I do not want any piercings that I have to leave in once they heal. I can leave my earings off for months and still have the holes. If it is too long they get tight but they are still there.
Can you still put a post through your tongue if you wanted to? There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

I could for quite some time after. I wanna say perhaps up to 6 months or so after, I could still put smaller gauged jewelry inside. I figured it would never seal up, but it did.
My very first non-ear piercing was a septum piercing when I was 18 and I haven't worn jewelry in that since just a couple years after having it done yet the hole remains today and I can stick a 10 gauged size something-or-other in my nose right through. Crazy. Same with the frenum - haven't worn jewelry in it for a very long time, yet I've had guys say, "What's that little hole there?" Gives me a lot of opportunities for cheeky answers, I guess.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
All of mine did. The only hole I can see without really looking for it is in my left ear. Everything else is fully "healed".

Thats probably it then... I havent seen many, if any at all "older" people with them around here... ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

Maybe it could be like braces. If you don't wear your retainer at night your teeth move back to what they looked like before braces. So I guess the question is how often you have to put the piercing back in and does the daily removal and replacing cause additional problems like more noticeable scars for instance.
I like having the choice to wear earrings or not and I would want to have that choice should I pierce any other part of my body.
Also, about tongue piercing - there is the teeth issue. I have seen people with plastic tongue jewelry, is this less damaging to the teeth then the metal or is it again another aesthetic thing only?? Biting on your tongue instrument is gonna happen.
The problem is that sometimes it can crack or chip a tooth. The jewelry will also naturally rub away at parts of your mouth that it touches. So this can cause receeding gum line behind your teeth.
Softer materials make this not so bad. Acrylic and glass pieces are softer on your tissue(s) and if you bite down on glass or acrylic, it won't damage your teeth (unless you have really soft teeth anyway).

I have two earrings in my right ear, one in my left.

There is a book that should be good by renown piercing specialist, or whatever you would call her.
Her name is Elayne Angel and she use to have a shop in New Orleans but now travels all over. I
first saw her picture when I lived in Atlanta and she had the most amazing set of wings tattooed on
her back. When I saw her on the streets of New Orleans she had taken the tats further and now also
has this mermaid thing going on down to her feet.
If I keep thinking about all this piercing stuff I just may order it. Like I said, I don't want an all or
nothing situation. I like options and think it makes it more fun to switch things up a bit.
The book is called "Piercing Bible" and can be ordered through Walmart, :target:and of course Amazon. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

I've had my nose pierced twice (I had it on one side, took it out after a while and a few years later got the other side done)
I used to have my nipple pierced .. I don't know why I took it out because I've started to miss it
Now I'm boring -- I only have my ears pierced

You should get yours done and see if you can notice a difference
I loved the fact that in a way I was decorating my body - One of the bars that I used to wear had a finger on each side so it looked as if my nipple was being pinched, it was so legend
I'd love to get it re-done but I don't think I'd be able to go through the pain again

Piercings don't have to be "all or nothing". I think people who take their jewelry out and let it stay out long enough to close just don't really want the piercing any more.
Most people I know with something pierced (myself included) kind of just get used to it as apart of the body.... If you get tired of looking at it for some reason, but don't want to risk it closing, you could always get a retainer to put in If you will, so will I

Well, I got sick of it because it got in the way of my tit-joy. I love my nips worked and since it would heal, then not heal then back again...I just opted for not having it. I imagine it's different for everyone.
