It's Samhaim, Wicca's greatest holy day and spirits of the dead surface in Bon Temps, giving Sookie some valuable allies to combat Marnie's newest incarnation. Lafayette's latest medium encounter imperils his relationship with Jesus; Jason finds confession good for the soul but not for the body; Alcide makes a heartfelt appeal to the woman he loves; Terry receives an unexpected visitor at Merlotte's; Sam and Luna envision a storybook ending for once; Nan wears out her welcome with Bill and Eric. Pretty much everyone thinks Nan is gonna bite the dust, which is a shame, cause I would really liked to have seen her backstory and more bout how the Vampire Organization works.

I'm thinking it's Debbie Pelt that dies, especially if only one character dies.

I think Nan will stick around because I think next season will be a big battle between the Old Royalty System and The Authority. Or...Nan might be that battle's first casualty. Guess we'll find out. lol

So Tara's the one who's going to be gone? Hmm, not too sad. But the way Eric and Bill slice Nan up was a masterpiece.

Monday's To-Do List:

1) Cancel HBO biggrin

While there were some enjoyable moments in this finale of a less-than-thrilling (being nice) season, it felt mostly like a montage of mushy touchy feely end-scenes (like over and over just different characters). The most enjoyable character tonight was probably Witch Waitress (dressed as fairy). Frankly, I won't give up on the show altogether, but I can certainly wait until the seasons come out on dvd, since it's literally the only thing we watch on HBO and pay $16 a month for. It's just cheaper to get the series at the store (or even netflix) and just do a marathon on a weekend. shrug

That was about the best line of the eve.

Best moment, was Tara Buck hugging her in spite of Pam resisting and then Pam accepting her. Touching but not contrived like most other moments.

Most of this episode make very little sense. It was nothing more than a set up to kill off a couple of characters without any emotional impact. Basically to whittle down the cast.

Also I really cant take another season of King Russell.

Are they ever going to address if Pam is cured or not? Even a throwaway line would answer that ? Or like the writers are we just suppose to forget dangling threads?

Though I am glad the preacher is back.

Ball is failing.

Well with Sookie crying for someone anyone to save Tara, I wouldn't be surprised.

N Im going to go critic for a second.

1. If you wanted to kill Jesus, then it would have been much more of an impact if he was killed while trying to get Antonia out of Marnie and sacrificed himself trying to save Layafette, Tara, Sookie and his coven than giving up his jojo to Marnie.

2. Either play Sookie as a manipulative bitch that she is and drop the innocent "I love you both" bs. That whole Eric/Bill/Sookie scene played out like a teenage girl's revenge. I cant live with either of you but you better both know that you cant be getting over me cause, theres always next week when I will need you to save and then fawn over me. Really Alan Ball? are we suppose to like Sookie, ignore her, or just hate her?

Which brings me to the fact that Eric and Bill have more hot chemistry going on between them that either have with Sookie. Chains, leather, each tied to each other against a pole, pretty much writes its own slash fiction.

3. Nan made no sense. A 800 year old vampire who has been working for AVO or whatever, a skilled politician is going to go into enemy camp, basically say " i want some of that fairy bitch blood you've been drinking all to myself" and doesn't think for a moment its NOT going to work in her favor?

4. No more Rene, dead baby, Arlene, Terry, whos seems like suddenly remembers hes slurped on a cock over in Iraq, bullshit.

The only saving grace to next season is that Andy, yes I said Andy, is shirtless cause that man has some guns on him. If you bother to look.

5. Debbie, who the fuck cared.

IMO this episode made up for the crappier ones throughout this season.

I'm still kinda in shock. I think Marnie's sending off should have been more violent. Would have been cool to just have Adele come back and kick her a__ back into the ground.

Loved the way they killed Nan.

I think Alcide & Sookie look good together. It seems more natural that to see her with Eric.

Lala did a good job acting this episode. Probably the most he's had to do range-wise since the show began.

Change it one more time..

  • I glanced at the clock about 35 minutes into the show and thought, "Really?!" The whole episode was anti-climactic to me. That Marnie crap should have taken no more than 15 minutes. doh!
  • I also thought, "They buried Gran in a nightgown?!" confused
  • I know this is not a popular view, but I was sooooo tired of Tara and her angry ass. Buh-bye. wave
  • Sookie... disbelief There are no words for that annoying heifer. neutral

Lines that made me giggle: giggle

  • "I liked you better when you were brain-dead"
  • "We're feeling a little crispy up here"
  • "...missionary, doggie, her on top..." / "Not HOW! How could you do this to me?!"
  • "...unbelievably stupid name!"
  • "Gay Storm-troopers"

Questions for next season:

  1. So with Jesus and Tara gone, what is Lafayette going to do with his powers?
  2. In the book, Eric helped Sookie get rid of Debbie's body... who will help that pain in the ass this time? (I hope they introduce Debbie's homocidal sister! excited)
  3. Did Jason invite the Rev. in? confuse
  4. How much fun is Russell going to be? biggrin
  5. What's up with Terry's friend? lurking

I didn't get a chance to post last week, but my favorite moment of the season:

Yeah what is up with Terry's friend? confuse He was looking at Arlene like "who the fuck is this bitch" when Terry introduced her as his wife.

To be honest, I was underwhelmed by the season finale. I don't have any questions really about next season, don't know why, but I just don't. I just see that the quality of where the show is going is heading down hill. So my estimation is that this show has about one to two season tops left.

So now that True Blood is done for 2011....on to BOARDWALK EMPIRE!!!! excited

Man, I cant believe Tara is gone sad. She used to be one of my favorites...I started seeing them use her as a tool though with Sookie...didnt like that much. I loved how she had more of a personal life in the first two seasons...then she kept being used in the last two..especially this season.

Sookie is always ho-hum to me...but she makes the whole thing work.

I like Eric and Bill working together.

I think Pam & Sookie are going to have it OUT in this next season.

They better use Lafayette more often....not just as a tool like they did in this season. I was sad his boyfriend died...

Sayid and Sookie should hook up....who was that wolf after Jason?

Is it just me or did Jason lose weight?

I've been saying the same thing for a while. That whole, "I never promised you anything but you promised yourself to me completely" bag she pulled on Eric a couple of weeks back sealed it for me. She'll love you and leave you as it suits her purposes, or worse yet, her whims.

If I were Alcide I'd do what he did when he got that call: run, and don't look back.

I think the show needs a potent rival for the Vamps' affections. Then you'll see Sookie's true colors.

A return to the central storyline -- vampires' coexistence with society and each other -- would also help tremendously. Whatever the faults of the finale, it appeared that the writers may have pared down some of the storylines and cast to get back to just that.

The only other show I watch on TV is Storage Wars 'cause I'm in love with Barry love and I love finding treaures at vintage and thrift stores myself.

I started to watch BE when I saw that Omar from The Wire was on it, (and I do love Steve Buscemi) but I just can't get hooked on anything else.

i'm not counting tara on the hit list for these 2 reasons, lala is upstairs sleeping i think and with the return of jesus as a spirit to help lala heal tara or a vamp comes 2 help with tara as it was when sookie got shot and she healed.
