Go to bed sleepy head! Its 8:20 am here ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

I was just thinking of you tinaz and here you are the last person on the Babble thread!
I thought of you because George Michael was singing at the Freddie Mercury Tribute in 2000 and I just spent a good part of an hour watching it. George knocked it out of the park! Not easy to sing a song like Freddie did.
I have figured out that I have a little over 7000 days until I turn 70. That may sound silly but the days from being 29 and "Oh my God today I am 30!" to the day I was 49 and "OH MY GOD today I turned 50 have really flown by. So I want to really live more conciously with the next 20 which I suppose will fly by even faster than the last.
So today I caught up on videos on youtube I had never watched. I really prefer to sit here at the computer and watch videos that I have never seen or have not seen in a long time than T.V.. There is a whole lot of great music that I have missed, and I listen to a bunch of music. Alright today is my day to get my money and I am horrible with it. I promised myself that I would
be more careful this month. It is like dieting. I dread this honesty. I promised myself that I would
write down all of my spending so that I could see where it was going. I can be so damn foolish with
money!!! I should see if I can get a monthly bus pass too this month so that I can get to know my
new town better. It is beautiful but my love for New Orleans just will not fade. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

Im gonna say this, and not because I would drink george Michael's bath water, BUT, because I think he is the only singer (IMO) to cover ANYONE'S song and make it sound good... I haven't heard him do a bad cover yet...

First, I can not believe you wrote "george" with a small case "g". That for those who don't know is like
Vanity/Denise Matthews writing "God" with a small case "g".
George's voice was beautifully showcased. Much of Queen's music showed off Freddies voice as
the great musical instrument it was. Surely George should think of doing some more covers of
Queen songs, maybe even an album given that a movie about Freddie is said to be in the works. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

OMG
After I hit reply, i did see I did the G in smaller case, actually, my shift button needs to be hit kinda hard so it doesnt always work... I was to lazy to go in and change it! Its funny you pointed that out!!
Have you heard any of his Elton John covers?

No I have not. I was not a Prince fan, or ANY 80's act fan in the 80's except maybe the Talking Heads, Elvis Costello and the B52's. I hated the 80's as a whole and ran away to Provincetown to get away from them. But, now that I am older I am more willing to look through 80's music without being angry that it is over comercialized and being shoved down my throut. George had/has a beautiful voice. Has anyone else noticed that GD is getting a bit more serious and somewhat political? Since I seldom go into P&R, where I am mostly ignored anyway, my guess is that others don't use it much either so they post here.
Anyway it is time to get going on something. I just bought some stuff off of Amazon again. Hope it is enjoyable stuff. I bought the best of Elvis Costello and the best of David Bowie because I no longer have all of my old cassettes. I would really love "the best of Grace Jones" she was another 80's favorite of mine!! Music is my addiction I think! [Edited 10/3/11 11:33am] There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

I can't wait till this Home School Show is over. I eat some popcorn from a kid for school and broke my tooth, now I need a dentist. Should I sue the school for making bad popcorn? How do I tell the executive director where I am volunteering that she's lazy and ADHD? She never finishes anything and goes from one thing to another? Need to get some sex & sleep not necessarily in that order. Boy, some nachos sounds real good but so does some fish & chisps. Damn Vikings can't you win at least one game and how the hell do you let Detroit Lions beat you on your own home turf. Life sucks. I'm gonna eat some chocolates. Prince's Sarah

I'm O.K. with the word. I do however cringe when someone pronounces the name Regina as if it rhymes with Vagina instead of with Christina. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

LOL this post! I have ADD and do to my high blood pressure I am not medicated for it. From the word "Need" on your post sounds like ADD and I can not tell if it is you talking or the executive director, . I get mad when people say VAGINA instead of VULVA
| |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I just looked up Vagina verses Vulva in Wiki so that I could be clear on this. I was confronted with a "vulva" pic that looks taken in the 80's I can not believe that Cerebus loves a hairy cat! It also showed a bald one as well and they labeled the parts of the bald one because, I take it the ink showed up against the pink flesh unlike all that black and auburn hair.
I am trying to think of people using the word vagina incorrectly, maybe if they say they shave their vagina or pierce their vagina? There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

or like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton flashed their vaginas getting out of cars in mini skirts.
Well, vaginas are internal, so unless the paparazzi have speculums nowadays, I don't imagine the public have seen them.

I do this
But I flash my vulva, not my vagina
Also my my I seem to be pissing a few people off around here lately. Is it your vulva that is pissing people off????? I can't imagine your vulva being unlikeable.
Well when you are never on here or hardly on here it is easy to stay on good terms with everyone. Once you start posting regularly your true snatch is bound to show and well, few of us are all sunshine and light. Most people have their limits.
I don't think that is bad. I think what is wrong with the human race is that it refuses to accept that it is the human race and that everyone has some sort of issue or other. We are all made with the ability to be angry, resentful, jealous, etc. I think we need to make peace with our darker sides. and once this iron maiden is no longer intimately embracing my arm it's on to physical therapy!! where hopefully, i'll be able to relearn using my hand for sewing drawing playing music typing and all that stuff quickly.

There is a book, which unfortunately is not with me but far away so I don't have the title or author. I bought it at the $Store and it was originally like $18.00. It was a book about what wise businessmen know. It showed how successful businesses encourage debate and even passionate debate in order to get to the best ideas. We as a people do not see the value in arguing passionately. The founding fathers argued passionately- they did not all just quickly make peace with one another. Maybe we should all join debate teams in high school so we understand the rules to arguing a point vs character assassination. Even if you are arguing about a persons character you should do so objectively and not get into words that are harsher than need be. Like you might think an orger is a bit too whiny and should grow a thicker skin. I think it is O.K. to say that. Some people get on the org and they are the wounded type. At first you lick their wounds with them and for them but eventually you see a pattern. The truth is that this orger is very thin skinned and in reality has to learn to deal with that. As orgers is it better to tell each other poor, poor you, or is it better to say, "Dear Mabel, it seems that you take a great deal that happens to you very personally when maybe it is not". That may not be what the orger wants to hear; and now she is not only upset with her real life friend but upset with you as well. I know of one lovable orger who in real life is very very sensitive. Someone else on the org got close to him and then backed away. I asked her why. She said it is difficult to be his friend because you feel like you are walking on eggshells. At any given time something you may say could be taken the wrong way and deeply hurt him. It stopped being fun for her to be around him so much because she just could not be her bawdy self around him. It is interesting but such sensitive types often get left out of the party despite the fact that they are liked.

I think we all like to come in here for a now and again. Make no mistake about it, this place will NOT coddle you when you need a good . They will tell you that you have been sounding unhappy in your job or living situation for far too long and you need to make changes NOW 'cause they just do not want to hear it any longer!
I actually like posting my stuff here for people to debate. Only once has an orger come back at me later on in a totally different thread and ragged on me about it. One orger does not make for a rotten bunch or orgers.
Right now I have left a mess in the kitchen and I need to clean that shit up now! There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.
