nod What I want to know is if the boy's daddy told you this himself. Because coming straight out and telling you he spends money on his wants without even putting down a penny towards his son's need well.....that is just an in your face type of booty! flipped off thing. sad

He started doing this maybe 4 years ago. He asked me about it beforehand looking for a reference and info since I used to be a hair dresser and knew folks in the spas.

I always helped him with his style of dress and how to date women properly. I taught him how to tip, open doors, pull out chairs... etc. His fobby* assed mom who raised him was from the woods of Haiti. So he was a cheap ass and had ALL her mannerisms. I shouldn't have taught him shit. I created a metro Frankenstein.

*fobby or F.O.B. is a term for people who are "fresh off the boat" and lack manners and etiquette.

Got a call from HSN today; "Do to the high demand of the product....." basically they are out and hope that they can fill orders by October 4th, if not then they just give you a $5.00 gift certificate. Wow, $5.00!

Anyway I hope that they get some in on October 4th. mad

Deadflow3r and PaintedLady thanks so much for the thread and the NoNo info. I've been looking at that thing on HSN for a year now. I have fair skin prone to hyperpigmintation and dark coarse hair on my chin the "pepper" marks are a beast. Waxing leaves it too harsh and like you I cannot wait for enough to grow out to wax. I pray it works for you and I plan to take the plunge next month myself. I'm curious about threading, there is a place at my local mall that does it but it seems so damn painful. I will have to check out some YouTube videos.

Please keep us posted on the results!!

Thredding may hurt depending on the area of the body. But at any given salon a seasoned threadder will remove the shortest hairs from the root. Give it a try until the NoNo comes in. biggrin

I LOVE getting my eyebrows threadded. Threadded eyebrows look so sharp and clean.

Hyperpigmentation is a royal bitch. I HATE it... I hate ingrown hairs that leave little dark spots (scars). Its real work for me to keep my skin an even tone. Thank God for coconut oil and exfoliants.

I myself like waxing less and less. When I removed my leg hair with wax I would end up with darkened hair folicles on my legs. It was ugly. So I stopped waxing my legs. I shave the hair off on my legs, my skin on the legs doesn't do good with the hair being pulled from the folicle. It took 3 years for my damn legs to recover and are now even in color.

Let me know if nono works.

I definitely will. I should get it around September 15th I think. Anyway this thread is new so it should still be active at that time. Maybe I will even post pics if I can get the pepper marks to show up. I think my friend knows how to post on the web. Now that I am not orging from the library I may in fact enter the 21st century!!!

Okay so it's been about a month, how is the NoNo working out?

O.K. this is my issue and I don't want to talk to a bunch of lucky people who don't have to deal with this grosso crap. I absolute hate being hairy, hate it more than words can say. I have had nightmares about it too. I had nightmares where hair was growing from my tongue and I could not talk. The crazy dreams started because just when I thought that I could not possibly find more body hair I did.

My last boyfriend was probably the coolest about it. He called me his little Chia pet and just laughed and never acted grossed out by stubbly patches etc. Anyway it has definitely kept me from being promiscuous that is for sure because I really have to trust a person to disrobe around them. I shave mostly because every other method means that I have to wait until it is clearly visible in order to remove it. The wax needs something to grab onto. My hair is darkest brown and my skin is very light olive so you most definitely notice any growth at all.

Any beauty secrets, advice etc. I would have head to toe electrolysis if I could afford it!

Hey my no-no did arrive and I just got finished using it. My hair is very strong and although I can smell the burning of the hair it is still there. It says to do it every other day religiously for like 60 days. Supposedly I will see at least a 50% reduction in hair. Even if it just was not as thick, I would be happy. Having head to toe five o'clock shadow drives me crazy!!!

Absolutely not. On the HSN they said that you did not need to have actual hair there but when I got the little no-no it said that you should have some hair for it to work it's best. I did not like growning out a bit of the hair on my face that I wanted removed but I definitely wanted it to work it's best.

It is a warm thing but no warmer than putting your arm under the old fashion tanning lamps.

I think that many people don't keep up with it. You really have to give it some of your time and pull the skin taunt over the area before you roll the no-no over it. I bet that within a week I will be quite good at it.

Thanks for your support! hug

My finances do not allow for every beauty procedure I need, lol.

I just tweeze and cut my eyebrows.

Find someone who loves you just the way you are. Or - better yet - love yourself and don't buy into the myth that you need someone else to make you happy.

Trust me Ace I have a huge problem. I have 5 o'clock shadow everyday. If I were to accept myself the way I am I would look like I just imigrated here from Turkey. The Frida Kahlo look is not popular in the USA and I am not moving to Mexico or Iraq any time soon.
