October 13 , 2011

Rush Hour star Chris Tucker's $6 million Florida mansion is in foreclosure, with more than $4.4 million owed to the bank, reports the Orlando Sentinel, citing papers filed in Circuit Court in Lake County.

Tucker, 39, bought the 10,000-sq.-ft. waterfront home on Lake Apopka, near Orlando, in 2007. The newspaper says the residence contains five bedrooms, three fireplaces, a personal spa, an outdoor kitchen overlooking a pool, and a basement outfitted to resemble a pirate ship, including the sail.

Court documents reportedly show an $11.5 million IRS lien on the home in 2011 in order to collect federal income taxes from Tucker, whose monthly mortgage payment, the documents also show, was $25,812.50.

There has been no comment from Tucker, but the Times Union of Albany, N.Y., reports that his comedy show scheduled in the city for this Sunday – and was a rescheduling of a postponed Sept. 3 performance – has been canceled because of "unforeseen circumstances."

I wonder sometimes if I would get a place so huge even if I had money.

I mean, 5 bedrooms? Does he have 4 kids? 10,000 feet? Is it really necessary?

It's called EGO! I live in a 1 bedroom/den condo. I could afford a bigger, splashier place, but we chose not to. The extra money we have goes towards our savings and travel.

You have to be continually earning mega big bucks to pay for and maintain a home like this. It's too bad these folks don't buy homes they can actually afford.

This is probably retaliation by the Ashkenazi for Chris' relationship with Michael Jackson (as MJ was outspoken about his criticism of Zionists in the record industry).

Just a thought. smile

Don't be redicculous. We are far too busy planning to take over the world and obtaining the blood of christian babies to make matzah for passover to be concerned with forclosing on a has-been actor with poor fiscal skills.

Be carefull what you say. We are watching you.

Why couldn't he just pay it off in full? It's pointless to owe 4.4 million on a 6 million home, plus he owes about another 6.5 million in taxes? How does that happen? He made a very nice sum of money in hollywood.

That's what my first thought was. If he remained focused on his movie career and continued to do that, standup, or whatever, then he wouldn't be in this situation, the cash flow would had still been flowing. It's like he rose to the top, got successful, smelled himself and everything came to a halt. disbelief

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Instead of spending all of his money, he should have come up with an plan, something creative with the use of his money which can generate more of it.

I was wondering why he was suddenly doing standup again.

On a side note...I met Tucker at Prince's Hollywood Palladium show back during the 2000/2001 Hit-n-Run tour. Bumped into him again at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles on Sunset & Gower after the show.

Love his movies and think he's one of the funniest fuckers out there...but he was an absolute prick.

Big time. My cousin and I kind of slipped the door man some money and cut right thru the long ass line of ticket holders outside, so we were one of the first into the Palladium. Walking across the dance floor and here comes Tucker towards us. We made eye contact and my cousin and I did the head nod "What's up" and I said "Love ya, man". There was no one else there and he no doubt heard us but walked on as if we didn't exist. Later he was up in the balcony with Eddie Murphy and everyone downstairs was trying to get their attention. Eddie waved and blew kisses but Tucker wouldnt even look down on us lowly folk. While Eddie was saying hi, Tucker was checking his phone or whatever, trying to look busy. I mean, people were calling his name...no way he didnt hear. He could have at least said hi.

Then he was in the booth right next to us at Roscoe's. Now me and my cousin were like "Fuck that ni**a!" but we were still a little in awe of him. He made eye contact a dozen times but acted as if he was the only one in the restaurant. Did it to everyone, not just us.

I know celebs want and do deserve some privacy, but a hello, a headnod, something for your fans is not too much to ask.

Exactly.Too many celebrities live beyond their means.Instead of buying a nice, modest home that they can actually afford, they decide that they need huge, sprawling mansions. They wrongly assume that they're always gonna be making big bucks. How long has it been since Chris Tucker had a successful movie?
