I was against them for a long time, but then started doing them when I was 28-29. It's hard for me to find someone that I'd be really interested in and that would be still available (especially at my age they're all raising their kids in the suburbs). If I didn't do them every now and then I guess I just wouldn't have sex at all for very long periods of time. I was also somewhat sick a while ago and just didn't feel like I could be in a proper relationship then - didn't want to force anyone else to deal with my own shit.

I've met women at clubs and I've also approached a few at public places. I answered an online dating ad once, but the chick was totally crazy.

Most of the occasions have been just okay. I've had a few embarrassing moments when I've been too drunk and haven't managed to pull off the intercourse part properly. In overall I don't find the whole thing nowhere nearly as filthy as some others seem to do. It's more about just getting to spend some time with different type of people as it just feels different to be with different type of individuals. A bit like going through different wines or enjoying different types of music, I guess.

How was it? Well I was always careful. i'm still alive. And I honestly thought I was having a great time back then. But now I look back to those times and shudder. I realise I didn't have much self-respect. My friend recently told me she walked past a guy I had a one-night stand with. I honestly wouldn't know him if I saw him. That's pretty shit.

On the other hand, I ended up marrying a guy who started out as a one-night stand.

i have had them but i dont think i would be interested now...had some good but mainly bad due to alcohol and the effect it has on your judgement...
