Pulp Fiction - One of the best movies EVER?! People say it's overrated, maybe it is, but imo i think it's one of the best. It's clever, different, and it's definately memorable, there's so many great lines in it!! It's such a cool movie

Over-rated and way too sick in terms of violence IMO.
For a lighter and more intelligent alternative try LA Confidential... [Edited 8/18/11 10:21am]

I like both but like LA Confidential just a little bit more. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

LA Confidential is nothing like Pulp Fiction though
Pulp Fiction is totally over the top, but it's great. Nearly every scene is interesting in some way, visually or in terms of the dialog. It doesn't really add up to much in the end, but as an exercise in style it's a classic. My Legacy

I always wondered whats with the ball in the mouth? Is it for a look or is it really to prevent someone from screaming. Why would they scream in the first place? How come the balls are always red or black. No blue?

I love how Bruce Willis is in a hurry to get out of there and he has just killed a man, but he has to ask his girlfriend about the blueberry pancakes so she will not cry My Legacy

I LOVE L.A. Confidential. I bought the 2011 Blue-Ray from Italy! It has all the bonus features from the various VHS, DVD and initial Blue-Ray releases, include the entire pilot episode of a planned tv spin-off.
Better Tarantino fare for me are; 'Reservoir Dogs.' 'Natural Born Killers.' 'True Romance. and 'Kill Bill.' I actually don't own 'Pulp Fiction.' I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Yes LA Confidential is very underrated, I thought it was really good and nicely shot.

Same here. My roommate swears by it. The pieces I've seen have bored me immensely, and Tarantino is my 2nd favorite director. I can't get that long ass arbitrary scene when John Travolta and Uma Thurman are in the diner, ordering the food all weird, then they're in a twist contest for no reason...ugh...turn it off.

I loved Pulp Fiction when it was first released... the whole "start at the end of the movie" thing was actually a pretty new concept at the time (or so I believed) and the opening scene with Honeybunny and his girl just talkin' and then they jump up and shit goes down, was great. I enjoyed all the story arcs within the movie that all tied together somehow and it was nice to see that Travolta had a job again. That flick totally revitalized his career!!
Long live the Gimp!!
but Reservoir Dogs is still my favorite Quentin flick... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon
