I finished this book that just kind of... I don't know... sucked! Strange thing is, its part of a long ongoing series of books and I fully expected to love it. I didn't. It took me MONTHS (literally) to read it when a book of its type usually takes a few days. But I have a bunch of books piled up that follow it and I was pretty sure I had to get the information that was in it for all of them to make sense (I was right, hugely important). Even when I finished it, though, I was like, "Shit, that sucked. What if I've just lost interest in these books?!"

I picked up the next book and read 102 pages last night and another 150 today. SO. FREAKIN'. HAPPY! For me, this was very cool.

I spent a week with a guy, and it was amazing, wonderful, sweet, perfect!!! May turn into something much more more than expected.

Spent a week away from home at a job that treats me great and I rocked it every single day!!! And got paid!!!

And I'm setting up my concert lineup!

And I might have a full time awesome job soon!!!

And DEBAUCHERY in 2 weeks!! Woot woot!!

First stint at a regional theatre starts Tuesday!

OK...that's good that you are interested in the next one.

Something similar to what you described happened to me with both a Star Wars book that I've been trying to finish for about a year now, and a Dune book that is taking me months to get through.

just got back from yosemite national park again....was awesome, i really needed that time away to just be in quiet and peace, my husband and son had a blast hiking with me to lower and upper yosemite falls.

my new place. i'm almost completely moved in. it's been a huge hassle but worth it.

Wow! Sounds great. It's my secret dream to travel to Yellow Stone or similar park. Actually it's a secret dream to travel through the USA for a while.
