I remember the sound of my mother's bracelets when she was coming to the kinderkarten, I was waiting for this all day long.

I remember hugging my dad and smelling his perfume, Anteus.

More ancient memories, were me sitting in the kitchen and watching the little pieces of dust in the light.

My oldest memory was my mother trying to teach me how to walk as a baby. She stood me up on one side of the room and she went to the other side of the room, waving a chocolate chip cookie in the air. I ended up learning how to run before I could walk. lol

My baby sister being in a bassinet pram and I am sitting on a pram chair on top of the pram, strapped in and my mother pushing the pram and she had a beehive (black hair then) and a black and white coat. I must have been about 18 months old. We were in London then and I remember seeing a market and all the hustle and bustle of the 60s!

My absolutely oldest memory has to be outside at a park, and seeing an uncle's face come in and look at me (I was laying in a baby thing on the ground, I dunno what you call it) and I think I got a little bit upset.

My oldest memory is seeing my younger brother for the first time. I was 3 years old(November 1964). It rained like hell, and I was sitting in my godfather's car waiting for my parents to come out of the hospital. They got in, and I leaned over to see my brother. He was asleep and wrapped in a yellow blanket.

Mine's kinda similar. When I was 7 years old in 1990, I remember my sister's birth...every single detail...what I ate...what she looked like...what the hospital smelt like and so on...but for some reason I can't remember ages 0-6....I have loads of pictures and video footage but I can't remember anything on my own.

4, seeing my dad's feet while I was standing at the bottom of a pool, long story short, doing what I was told not to do, man, he sure could move fast back then.

My first memory: I was 3 years old. My sister (who's three years younger) had some sort of problem with her legs. Our mom had to put her in this yellow tub for some type of procedure. I remember my mother, my sister crying and the yellow tub vividly.

A memory I wish I had: My mom says I used to sing to my brother who's 2 years older than me!! She loves to tell this story. She says I was 3. I would sing whenver he had to go off to Kindergarten. biggrin . The song was all about how I loved him and how I hoped he would not be hurt. It was an original song biggrin . She can still sing it to this day. I wish I could remember ......

I believe the traumatic memories stick out more when you're young for some reason.

I was probably about 3 years old...I was in my Mom's lap waiting for Santa Claus...she fell asleep...and I jumped off her lap and got my bumblebee toy and ran around in circles watching it's wings spin.

its a pretty vague memory, but... not that i only did this once of course, but for some reason i remember one of the times i stood up in my crib after i was put down to sleep and staring at the poster on my door. i cant remember what the poster was of. i had to have been like a year old. but whats weird is the whole memory (and others i have from that long ago) all have this.. sepia filter over them like its an old faded picture im remembering in my head.

I remember eating chicken soup on a nurse's lap. I remember liking her, she made me laugh.

My mom told me that's when I spent a month in the hospital when I was a baby. I remember that. I also remember the metal crib and the plastic around it.

I remember the huge bags of candy we had our first Halloween, my sister climbing real high up on the counter to get the candy... I remember the two dogs we shared the candy with. One dog was taller than me, I remember letting it lick my fingers clean. I was two then.

I have one very, very vague memory from when I was a baby (seriously!) of being on a bed waiting to have my diaper changed and my parents' old landlord walked by and stuck his tongue out at me (he was a ornery old man). I don't know why but this memory has always stuck in my head.

I remember being in the car driving my newborn brother home from the hospital (I was 3).

I remember bits & pieces of kindergarden.

I don't know if this is my oldest memory but it's old...I remember my uncle used to wash my hair for me sometimes if my grandma (his mom) couldn't do it at the time. One day he decided to wash my hair and style it in this big afro then he took my aunts earrings mixed and match a pair, put it in my ears and took me out to the store just like that. People told him how pretty I was and asked if I was his daughter...he told them yes! I was around 3.

I loved that man with all my heart and he passed away the next year. He loved prince too.

falloff I was on the subway with dad once and I sort of "read" the word "Flowers" off an ad board on the wall, and an older woman says to my dad "Oh my, she's so young but can read already, how cute!" and I go "there's a picture of flowers, how hard is that to understand?"

I was nice back then too. lol
